Transitional Dining RoomContemporary Dining Room, Charleston
These homeowners are young and inherited a lot of furniture, art and accessories from family. They wanted a modern living space that incorporated some traditional pieces. A pair of Asian lamps was the inspiration for this room. I decided to balance the formality of this dining room with a blue grasscloth wallpaper. The homeowner and I decided on this beautiful rectangular table after months of waiting for a round table that was on backorder. It ended up working rather well in the space. The base complements the overhead drum pendant very nicely. They also have small children so I went with leather seating for easy clean-up.
