Thank you for your interest in our Tyrol Hills Residence. The darker wall indeed is a wall covering. We had the privilege of working with Eminent Interior Design on this project who sources many of the furnishings, wall coverings, window treatments and home decor items. I was looking into acquiring that model of pendant lights last year, also available as a wall sconce. Are these dimmable? When I inquired, I was told that they were not, regardless of bulb type. Thank you for posting this image.

whitespace1966 -- you would find the most current answer on specifics such a whether this lighting is on a dimmer by checking with the manufacturer, a lighting source or interior designer in your area. Its a beautiful lighting figure. Best, Peterssen/Keller Architecture

Home Depot carries a smaller version by Martha Stewart but it is only available in a brass finish but at just $35.00 and $8.00 for a can of spray paint, it looks just like one of these high end version. I chose to let some of the brass show through as it gave it an interesting patina.

We painted the floor in one of our bedrooms. Used a good primer and latex porch paint (2 coats each). Be sure to seal it with poly, at least 2coats, 3 is better, either high gloss or not, it is personal preference. You can use stencils to pretty it up, or even just tape off stripes. Beautiful colors available in porch paint now. We left the paint plain and used an area rug ( inexpensive) on our floor.

Thank you for your interest in our Tyrol Hills Residence. The lighting was a custom collection of Bocci lighting designed specifically for that space. With regards to cost, you may want to contact either a lighting resource or interior designer to determine what is most suitable for the space you are looking at to determine a more accurate cost. Dining room lighting. Everyone loves to create ambience over the dining room table. But there are practically as many light fixtures to choose from as there are snowflakes. When it comes to your dining area, make sure to choose a light fixture that’s the right size for your table. If you can’t find something large enough, consider clustering multiple lights together. I like to ensure that the fixture is at least one-third the size of the table. And make sure you mount it approximately 30 to 38 inches above the eating surface. Also be sure to install a dimmable switch so you can set the mood.

Fred Albert added this to Contrast and ConquerAugust 19, 2013

The forms are contemporary, but the surfaces are varied, giving this dining room extra interest. Note how toothy, organic finishes are paired with shiny silver and glass accessories to vary the sheen as well as the texture.

4. Midcentury Modern in Minnesota. Upholstered chairs bring the blue into this dining room. The pendant chandelier helps to tie in the glossy starburst mirror and deco table lamp.

5. Create unique dining light. "Instead of using chandeliers over a rectangular dining room table, try using multiple pendants to create the feel of a large chandelier," Thompson advises. Also, remember that dimmers are a must-have in the dining room.
