Where do I get a window like this? Does it need to be aluminum since its in a shower or will vinyl work? Thanks.

If you figure that the standard wall height is 8 ft and then you subtract the window height from that, it sits roughly 4 ft off the shower floor. By the perspective it looks to be much smaller of a distance but those are general dimensions to go by.

I just sent them an email. They're here in SoCal. In Los Angeles, 1 hour south of me. Great lead! Thank you. By the way, your bathroom design is drop dead gorgeous. You made a tiny bathroom one of my favorite on houzz.

Hi, I was curious of the dimensions of walk in shower. Working with a small scale shower area and would love to do something like this. Thanks and beautiful job!

did they need a lot of cuts to make this size work? Can you attach a picture of the shower floor close up?

It is an exterior commercial grade window, rewaterproofed before tile was put in.. Glass is transluscent. same finish inside and out. not a steam shower, so good to go.

What Houzz contributors are saying:

Affecting Spaces added this to 10 Things to Consider Before Remodeling Your BathroomJan 17, 2016

5. A Window in the ShowerThis is a great feature if done properly. Some things to consider: Choose a frosted-glass panel for privacy and preferably one that opens for fresh air. Next, ensure that there are stone jambs along the entire installation so that this area is watertight. Also, ensure that the sill gets sloped down and away for proper drainage. Lastly, I always specify a tilt-and-turn window in a shower, because the screen is located on the outside of the window; the handles are plastic, so they won’t rust; and the window provides full privacy even when tilted open.
