    What is on the inside?

The dry stack look is more natural and appealing. We live riverfront. Once a year the river floods a portion of the backyard, and once in a blue moon is it a couple feet deep. Could this particular fire pit, or dry-stacking-look in general, handle immersion in water for a couple of days, for those rare occasions? Thanks for your opinion.

The foundation stone is Cultured Stone - Aspen Country Ledgestone. The patio stone is a natural stone called Crab Orchard.

So I have leftover slate from a slab we broke up for a pathway. Can I stack it and have a wood burning fire inside without fear of stone exploding!

Is this a gas or natural fire pit?

- I'm talking about the actual fire - thanks!

Second question - what is the stone on the radius of the fire pit?

- Can't tell if it's chiseled bluestone or what it is? Thank you!

This raised patio has a cinder block wall around the perimeter which was covered with a stone veneer. Inside the wall was filled with sand and a concrete slab poured on top of that. We then finished the surface off with flagstone.

It is a prefab base unit that has the same cultured stone as the foundation applied to it. The top is natural stone. Thank you.
