Finished basement in a new custom home with walkout to pool and beautiful Dunham Lake. A full kitchen with granite countertops and a gorgeous tile backsplash from counter to ceiling is a focal point. An exercise room and full bathroom are included in this stunning lower level. A storage room with a modern/rustic sliding barn door is functional and gorgeous. Banks of window across the whole lower elevation allow for lots of natural light. The lounge area features built-ins with a fireplace surrounded by artic white ledgestone. The homeowners had a very specific vision for their large daylight basement. To begin, Neil Kelly's team, led by Portland Design Consultant Fabian Genovesi, took down numerous walls to completely open up the space, including the ceilings, and removed carpet to expose the concrete flooring. The concrete flooring was repaired, resurfaced and sealed with cracks in tact for authenticity. Beams and ductwork were left exposed, yet refined, with additional piping to conceal electrical and gas lines. Century-old reclaimed brick was hand-picked by the homeowner for the east interior wall, encasing stained glass windows which were are also reclaimed and more than 100 years old. Aluminum bar-top seating areas in two spaces. A media center with custom cabinetry and pistons repurposed as cabinet pulls. And the star of the show, a full 4-seat wet bar with custom glass shelving, more custom cabinetry, and an integrated television-- one of 3 TVs in the space. The new one-of-a-kind basement has room for a professional 10-person poker table, pool table, 14' shuffleboard table, and plush seating.

This client had a blank slate when we started. He did however have an large amount of trophy mounts that needed to be incorporated into the design. His vision was to have a rustic atmosphere with exposed ceilings with interesting accents such as reclaimed wood pallet material on the walls.

Warm & Inviting Lower Level Family Room This stunning basement family room combines comfort and style, creating the perfect space for casual gatherings or cozy nights in. Anchored by a custom built-in media wall with floating wood shelves and lighted niches, the room is layered with texture and neutral tones. A soft, oversized sectional with plush, mixed-material pillows invites lounging, while a rich leather ottoman adds warmth and function. The warm wood beams and shelf details bring organic texture, balanced by crisp white cabinetry and soft gray walls. Thoughtfully curated décor, including modern art, pottery, and greenery, add personal charm without overwhelming the space. Designed for both entertaining and relaxation, this space effortlessly combines modern farmhouse and transitional elements for a timeless, livable look.
