    The existing floors were first refinished, then we taped off the diamond pattern and painted. Next the paint was buffed to achieve a worn look. Then sealed.

    I'm sorry, I appreciate your answer, but it wasn't wall paint on the floor was is? and did you use varnish as the sealer? I'm sorry to bother, but these are the fine points that doing a floor myself, I would need to know. Thank you for your timely, and very fast response.

    It's not as rough as it looks, and it has a wax finish. makes for easy cleaning.

This is a finish option for rough sawn oak which is a bit more traditional in color.
