dimension and color bring this tile backsplash to life - as the light into the home changes, so does the color and texture of the tile. At moments it appears more or less dimensional. In the morning more of the neutral and ecru colors are prevalent, at noon the copper colors force their way out, while at sunset the gray and blue-gray tones pop. The presentation of this tile option was one of many exciting moments in this project. I first presented this to the builder, as I was aware that installation of 3-D 3/4" thick tile would be a challenge. But, Brandon with Sunbelt Remodeling was delightful to work with and responded quite directly: "all the really cool stuff is hard to install. But I love it, so I will figure it out!" It was love at first sight for one homeowner, while trusting reservation better describes the opinion of the other. Both now agree that sometimes tile is art!
