3. Create your own light fixture. A timber beam suspended from the ceiling and draped with bulbs makes for an attention-grabbing pendant light. It’s also a great way to incorporate the hot trend of bare bulbs — why not try this look with a colorful cord?
A reclaimed beam. This home in Arizona is full of reclaimed hundred-year-old wood beams, which inspired this fixture. Working with a lighting professional, the design team hung the beam from rods and wrapped the wires of the dangling bulbs around it.
Fabella designed this unique light, which stands up to the scale of the space and incorporates the beams used throughout the home. Jeff Levkowitz of Sunlighting crafted her design.
