White Kitchen, Stained Island & Pantry with Bianco Antico GraniteContemporary Kitchen, Philadelphia

This kitchen was a fun project. The cabinets were painted with Benjamin Moore Cloud White, they were original builder grade dark oak. We added all the trim. The range is by Capital and the hood is Viking. The backsplash sets this kitchen apart from others, it was the perfect icing on the cake for us. It was wonin a contest from Mission Stone and Tile. It is beveled arabesque tile, each one is individually set in place and then grouted.

I love the juxtaposition of the crystal chandeliers with the very modern stainless appliances.

Have not had a problem. And please note the info about the Grout Boost we used. Thanks for the question.

I know that I am purchasing a single basin Blanco, but wanted to know color. I am stuck between deciding on Truffle or Metallic. Thanks

Just saw this question, so I know I must be too late to answer, but the sink is a stainless steel, zero radius sink. Not a Big Brand name, just chose based on the specs about the size, gauge, sound proofing.

First the doors and drawers are removed. Sand lightly, wash with TSP, let dry. Next step was to use a brushable wood filler (Pore-o-Pac). Follow the directions, you may need to do this several times with sanding between each coat. This elimiates the grain. We painted with oil based Ben Moore primers and paint, therefore the filler was also oil based. I did use a roller for the primer and paint, followed by brushing it out so there would be no puddles. It is hard to tell in these photos, but the finish is great, it feels smooth and it is very durable. Remember, oil based white paints will yellow, so plan accordingly when choosing your color. It is a very labor intensive process, but it is worth taking your time and doing it right.

I just had my builder grade oak painted Cloud White. They look 110% better. I hired a professional cabinet painter to do it. He did a fantastic job. It would have taken me weeks to do it on my own and it wouldn't have turned out as good. He sanded, primed - with a special primer, and spray painted. I'm sooooo happy and for a fraction of the cost of new doors/cabinets.

The island cabinetry is from Kraftmaid. It is their Peppercorn stain on cherry wood.

Wow! You are quick! Thank you so much! I am doing a kitchen remodel, and I'd like to use bianco antico granite with white cabinets, but need something to tone down the brightness on a side cabinet, and this looks perfect!

The dark color is Valspar's Italian Leather. The color on the wall with the window is Coastal Villa.

I think you are looking for the wall color in this picture. It is Valspar Italian Leather. I had it mixed in a Benjamin Moore paint. Thanks for the question.

The cork flooring is from US Floors. It is the Natural Cork, New Dimensions. We put down the color Corte. It's available at a lot of locations, we purchased ours from an online dealer who was having a sale.

I like the general feel of this kitchen although the cabinet fronts are not as traditional as I like.
