Where do you purchase a custom grill like the one in the picture? Also how does it stand the test of time??? Does it darken over time???

Beautiful job - amazing look and feel. Please ignore the 'save water' comments - this is a design website.

Some of the rainheads have two settings - gentle and heavy rain.

Connie, the Rainsky is only marketed in the US as a water feature or as art, Dornbracht has a disclaimer that all clients have to sign off on to purchase. This has not changed and obviously rules are meant to be broken and some private homes never fall under plumbing inspections...

Thanks, Dufour Design LLC. This "Rain Sky" is clearly a work of art and something anyone would enjoy owning. Many years ago I owned a plumbing company and could only dream of the gorgeous things available now.

Where can I get the removeable teak grille? Do you make it? How much does it cost? It is beautiful. I am redoing my bath and I love this idea for the shower flooring.

I'm going to direct you to the Interior Designer, Susie at EnviDesign-- she spec'd this tile and has a Houzz site as well-- http://www.houzz.com/pro/envidesign/envi-interior-design-studio. She can get you the exact spec on this tile. Thanks!

there's texture in the stone- also, the grate you see here is actually a removeable wood grille, used to access the drain below.

What Houzz contributors are saying:
Laura Gaskill added this to Simple Pleasures: Spoil Yourself
Soothe with water. A hot shower or relaxing soak in the tub can make you feel worlds better. Dig out any fancy soaps, essential oils, bath salts, masks and the like that you may have tucked away, and stay in until you’re pruney.
Dylan Chappell Architects added this to How to Hire the Right Architect: Comparing Fees
Hourly. This is basically what it sounds like: You agree upon an hourly rate of service, and the architect charges you for the time spent working on your project. Architects usually like this type of arrangement, because they know they can bill for their time. The drawback for homeowners is they are on the hook for however many hours it takes to get the job done. There are a couple ways to control the amount of hours worked. You can add a not-to-exceed amount in the contract, or a not-to-exceed percentage of the construction cost. Here’s an example of what a not-to-exceed clause might say:“The total fees for work will be based on the actual time spent and billed on a time-and-materials basis. Compensation for the scope of work shall not exceed the sum of $4,000, plus expenses and approved adjustments. Statements based on the work completed shall be sent on a bimonthly basis and are due within 15 days.”
Ventana Construction LLC added this to 9 Questions to Ask a Home Remodeler Before You Meet
1. Am I in an area where you work? Some contractors work across a wide metro area, while others restrict their work based on travel time, city or ZIP codes. Some may travel farther for a large project but limit small projects to their immediate neighborhood. When contractors limit their geographic range, it generally means faster response times for homeowners, which can be a plus, particularly for warranty work. If you’re not in an area they serve, you might want to ask if they can recommend someone closer to you. Find a contractor on Houzz
Bryan Anthony added this to Photo Flip: 50 Showers That Create a Splash
2. This walk-through shower designed by CTA Architects Engineers features a slate floor with inset wood slats that lead to a drain underneath.
The House Doctor added this to How to Future-Proof Your Family Bathroom
Think ahead. Once all the options have been tested and perfected for performance and the layout is finalized, building a future-proof bathroom begins from the ground up. Your existing floor structure, whether concrete or wood-framed, will need to be assessed to make sure that wet areas meet relevant codes of compliance.
