Hello, The table is a vintage find, which we had hand painted to fill the brief of a lightness above all. Take time to look on any site, such as Ebay, to find similar, and paint with several coats of either emulsion [flat] or silk paint, then wax to protect. Let me know if you need anything further. x

It's a clear lacquer. BUT, I bought the floor with the lacquer on brand new, so it hasn't been revarnished yet. The wood is a French oak. Sorry I couldn't help more...

Can you tell me which item you are meaning please? If it is the grate ironwork, it is a cast iron grate bought from a junkyard and painted white. This will blacken in use in winter, but during summr when not in use, it looks fab filled with clean logs or flowers or cones.... or candles as below....Hope that helps, please come back if it isn't what you were after?
