Windsor CompaniesTraditional Landscape, Minneapolis

Creating spaces for mini-golf, swimming, bocce ball, tennis, a patio, and a water feature requires thoughtful planning. When done properly, the result is functional as well as as aesthetically pleasing.

Windsor's professional design staff follows careful design criteria when combining spaces for recreation, entertainment, and relaxation.

This challenging site gave us the opportunity to transform an area beside the driveway into a putting green and bocce court. Reconfiguring the driveway and lawn made room for a restful sitting area to enjoy the beautiful sound of the waterfall and pond.

This project earned Windsor Companies a Merit Award for Excellence in Landscape Design from the Minnesota Nursery and Landscape Association.

This appears to be artificial turf.

Bocce Ball Courts · More Info

It is definitely turf - I'd be curious to know who installed it and what type of turf it is. I think I can see a seam down the middle - that's not supposed to be visible. We've had a good number of bocce ball court installations recently, it seems the sport is growing!

Let me know if you have any questions I can help with!
    Cheers!

Artificial turf provides a superior surface for lawn bowling or bocce due to its consistency, durability and low maintenance year round. It also helps to conserve water and eliminates the need for weed-killing chemicals. To avoid a Brady Bunch backyard look, landscape with actual local greenery around the lawn's gaming area. Use Bender Boards to define the separation between turf and real plants. Installing padding underneath the artificial grass will provide the ultimate game area by eliminating uneven surfaces.
