How to Add Multiple Images Per Item
Sourcing products, materials and finishes is crucial for your project’s success, and the ability to share your vision with your clients clearly, so that they can understand exactly how the items look individually and together, is key. We recommend adding one or more images for each of your items, including products, materials, labor and services. This allows you to show a more holistic view of the items when you send selections and documents to clients for review.
You can add up to 5 images, including icons and logos, to any item. These will be used throughout your project — in selection boards, mood boards, estimates, proposals, and more. Let's take a look at options for adding images to items.
How can I add multiple images?
You can add multiple images while creating or editing an item in your My Items library or from a financial document, selections board or selections tracker. You can also add images using the Houzz Pro Clipper as you source items online. For more information on adding products, check out How to Save and Source Products.
Add Images From My Items Library
On your My Items page you can add and edit item images. This can be done during the process of manually adding an item, as well as in the edit item view of existing items. To add or edit images for products, services, materials or labor, click on the item to open the details modal. Click on any empty image box and select upload image, use icon or use logo. The larger image at the top will be your cover image, which will be shown on documents where you enable the image view, as well as selections. You can swap the cover image by hovering over another image and clicking the photo icon. You can delete an image by clicking the trashcan icon.
Add Images From Documents
To add or edit multiple images in documents, like estimates or proposals, click on the image box on a line item. If you don't see the image box, make sure Show Images is enabled in the Customize settings found at the top of the items section.
In the Image Display modal, you can click an empty image box to upload an image, choose an icon or use your logo. To set an image as the cover image, hover over the desired image and click the picture icon. You can also remove images by clicking the trash icon.
Add Images From Selections
To add multiple images in selection boards or selections tracker, open the item overview by clicking the item. Within the overview you can upload images, choose an icon or use your logo.
Add Images From Clipper
You can quickly add multiple images when using the Houzz Pro Clipper extension by either clipping images found on the page or uploading your own directly to the Clipper. Learn more in How to Use the Clipper Tool.

You can upload the following image files:
- PNG
- JPG
- JPEG
Can I add multiple images through the mobile app?
Yes, you can add multiple images to existing items on the mobile app as well. To do so, open the the document that the item is on (or that you want to create the item on) and tap the item to open the edit view. From there, tap Add Images and either use your camera to take new ones or select from your camera roll. You can remove item images in the app, but to set a new cover image or use icons or your logo you will need to use the desktop experience.
