How to Delete a Project

When a project is no longer relevant for you, you can easily delete it from Houzz Pro. Deleting a project is a permanent change — there is no undo deletion option, and it will also delete all related documents. This is a useful option if you accidentally created a project or didn't move forward with a project.
If you don't need the project right now, but might need to access it later on, you have the option to change the project status instead. This article will go over changing project status vs. project deletion, as well as how to delete a project.
When to Change Project Status
If the project you worked on is complete or you would like to close it for some reason, you can mark the project status as Closed or Done. Changing the project status will not delete the project — all your important project data is still accessible within Houzz Pro.
A project marked as Closed is inactive and will not appear in your All Project's list. A project marked as Done is active and will appear in your All Project's list. To learn more about changing your project status, read How to Change Project Status.
Please Note: Archiving a project is no longer available. If you previously archived a project, all archived projects will now show as Closed.
When to Delete a Project
If you are confident that you will never need to access the project again, you can delete it. Delete is a permanent change — all your project data, including associated documents, will be removed. A deleted project will not appear within your All Projects list.
Please Note: The status of your project documents might prevent you from deleting the project. For example, if a project has any billed/issued purchase orders, voided invoices, or any documents with pending payments, it cannot be deleted. If a project has draft, declined or sent documents, it can be deleted.
If you are unable to delete a project, you can always change the project status to Closed instead.

How to Delete a Project
There are several different ways to delete a project.
First Option
- Click the Projects icon in your left navigation to access a list of all your projects.
- From the All Projects list, find the desired project. Click on the three dots on the right-hand side of your screen.
- Select Delete from the dropdown menu. A popup screen will ask you to confirm the action. If you are sure, select Yes, Delete Project.

Second Option
You can also delete a project by checking the checkbox next to the project, then selecting the Delete button. If you select multiple checkboxes, you will delete multiple projects at once.

Third Option
The final option for deleting a project is within the project details itself. Open up the relevant project, then click the i icon underneath the project name to edit project details.
From here, scroll all the way down to the bottom of the page, then select the Delete Project button.
