How to Set Your User Avatar

Your user avatar is the image that will be used throughout Houzz Pro to identify ownership of items, including documents and assigned tasks, as well as in various communications with your team and clients. Each user can upload an avatar, similar to a profile picture, allowing you to add your own personal touch to your account.

We recommend using a clear headshot or an image that represents you. If you don't add one, your initials, or the first two letters of your email address, will be used instead. See examples of both in the Assignees section of the screenshot below:

To add or change your user avatar, click the Profile icon at the bottom of the left navigation, then select Account Info.

Locate the User Avatar section and click Add Avatar (or Update Avatar if you've already set one).

In the avatar modal, you'll see your existing avatar. If you haven't uploaded a personalized image you will see your initials or the first two letters of your email address. Click Upload New to add an image from your device.

Once uploaded, you can crop and rotate the image to capture the desired area for your avatar. Click Save to update.

You can remove or upload a new avatar using the corresponding buttons at the bottom of the modal. If you select remove, your avatar will be reverted back to your initials or first 2 letters of your email.
