Eden Pool Service & Supplies said they could help us while my husband underwent chemotherapy but they charged me $1,823 ripped a gash in my pool (breaking it permanently) then refused to do anything to fix it.
We have an above ground pool that we could not maintain because my husband has cancer. Eden said they could help us. They told us we needed to pay them $1,085 for their filter before they would service us (this should have been my first red flag). Once the filter was installed, they started weekly service. Every time after their attendant left, I would go out to use the pool with my son and found it dirty. When my husband cleaned, it never looked like this. I took photos of the dirt and sent it to the manager, often with no response. On the third time, the manager finally responded and said "that’s just how it is and if it will be a problem then we can part ways."
Five days later they came to clean our pool. The attendant ripped a 3" gash in the side of the pool; releasing all the water and permanently damaging our pool. When I contacted the company for reparations (providing the photos and documentation they requested), they responded that they would not do anything to fix it. They said the best they could do was provide a patch kit, but would not install the patch. It has been three weeks and I still have not received the patch. Even if they gave it to us, I am not qualified to install it and my husband is too ill. Due to his illness, we cannot be around large crowds of people, so the pool was planned to be our central joy for the kids and I this summer.
Heartbroken that this source of joy was taken from us by someone who claimed to want to help. I work in the customer service industry, and when we break something, we do everything in our power to fix it. Please do not make the same mistake we did. Do not allow Paul Johnson and Eden Pool Service to take care of your family pool. They charge you as much as you can, do unacceptable work, are reckless and do not care to take responsibility for their actions. We have never been in worse hands in our lives.
