BGE HOME

BGE Home was great. They inspected my HVAC system and set up a whole home warranty. The technician was very nice and even used booties when in the house. He showed my that my HVAC unit was missing an air filter and instructed me on what size I needed as well as how to install it myself. He went over how the whole home warranty worked and was very thourough.

Recently had a 15 year old hot water heater replaced before it began to leak. BGE had a great selection of products to choose from and they helped me to determine which tank would be best for the # of people in my household. I was extremely impressed with their work and their respect for the customer's home. Everything was covered with a tarp to prevent any damage to the floors.

I've had these folks out to my home several times to install a complete heat pump/air handler system, troubleshoot a clogged pipe in the unit, move the outside unit to another location and regular maintenance. I never have trouble reaching a live person on the phone. They keep hours that are good for a homeowner who works full time and are always on time, if not early! They take great care to not make a mess or leave behind stuff that I would have to clean up. Everyone who has come to my home has been very nice.

Installed Heating and AC system. System has worked flawlessly for more than 3 years. Workers were very professional. It was raining on the day the work was scheduled, but they had drop cloths that they used to cover the floor so that they would not bring in dirt from outside. I really liked the work they did.

I called BGE HOME because my heating system went out. This was during a prolong freez period where the temp dropped into the low teens. My water pipes also froze. The HVAC tech came down, but because of frozen pipes, he could not service the boiler. He did not charge for the visit and helped turn off various water valves and my gas water heater. He gave me advice on how to take as much pressure off the water pipes, so that hopefully they would not burst. He then made sure I had a tech come down as soon as the temp rose above 32 degrees. The system was fixed, and I also had one of their plumbers come down to repair the water pipe. From the various people I spoke with on the phone to the techs on the job, I have to say they were all professional, knowledgeable, and helpful. On one visit, because I could not get off of work, the tech spent time on the phone with me until he understood the problem and was certain he knew where all the valves in my basement were located. That helped my wife stay calm and not have to try to figure out a hundred year old system of pipes and valves. I was so pleased with their service and pricing, that I signed up for a yearly contract. I have never felt this good about a company in the almost 25 years I have lived in the house. Thanks BGE HOME!

I would recommend their services -they were very professional but we ended up getting a better price. My husband is very hard to please and gets many estimates and then decides which one to accept.

I had a small electrical issue in one of my bedrooms. The breaker kept tripping whenever I turned on the light. I called BGE Home. They were very accommodating in scheduling the appointment around my schedule. The electrician showed up within the window they indicated, he diagnosed the problem and had it fixed within a half hour. If you have small problems, they seem to be pretty quick and there's no hassle. I like the structure that BGE Home offers. There's back up. That said, if the issue was more complicated, it probably wouldn't have made sense to go with them.
