Commented: Kitchen cabinet - soffit gap Given that the cabinet is set back from the soffit, I don't think a crown molding would work. I would paint the bottom of the soffit first and then glue in matching wood strips to fill the gap.

Commented: Paint color suggestions I would not do. A gray paint, it would be too cold Witt the Uba tuba. I would try a pale yellow gold color to keep it warm and friendly!
