The Painted Home

I have worked with Angie on several projects over the past 5 years. She is an artist! Her faux finishing and painting skills are truly amazing. We have built some very unique vanities, furniture and interior trim features together. Her finishing touches always bring our creations to the next level!

I had a large metal door with side panels (both had some glass etchings) and a large half round transom ( sull glass /wood casing). I wanted to replace it with either a high end wood or fiberglass resembling wood door and transom but the cost was prohibitive ( $10,000). My neighbor had Angie Pritchard faux paint their metal door to have an oak stain finish and it looked great. I was concerned about durability and maintenance.My door gets almost no sun, so it will be low maintenance. Angie cleaned the door and transom and applied a base coat, stain, glaze and clear coat that took 3 1/2 days. The result was a Red Oak grain finish that matches my Mirage Red Oak floor. We have received a number of compliments on the door. The cost was $1675 which was comparable to another bid I received from a highly qualified faux painter.

I have worked with Angie Pritchard, owner of Expressions In Paint, for the past five years. Other than being a pleasure to work with, Angie is absolutely talented in her painting designs and techniques. She listens to me when I describe the overall look that I am trying to achieve and then interprets it perfectly. She knows when to suggest an additional technique or "layer" to add to the walls, or piece of furniture and also knows when to hold me back if I might be "over doing it". She is the only person I would recommend when it comes to adding artistic painting to your home!

Angie Pritchard of Expressions in Paint was the project manager for our home remodeling. We updated most of the house in three-to-four months. The only room untouched was a hall bath which she updated three years ago. Our focus was on the kitchen, master bath, hall bath, powder room, laundry room and new flooring throughout the house. I've known Angie for about 20 years. She's the only person I trusted to take me through such an extensive remodeling. Angie listened to my ideas and worked very hard to make those ideas a reality. As with most remodeling projects, we ended up doing more than originally planned. However, Angie was always respectful of the budget and deadline. She never forced anything on me. She would explain anything which I didn't understand. The end result was a beautiful remodeling job. It was one that is a reflection of me, not some generic design. Angie was professional and encouraging..She always had options for working around problems. Just before the remodeling began, a family member suffered a major health problem. This was an added difficulty. However, Angie found a way to work around that as well. A number of people were involved in the remodeling/update of our house. Angie worked closely with their schedules and my schedule. She was tenacious about the quality of work done by everyone. Her expertise in so many areas is amazing. Angie has brought her many talents to people who live in houses of all price ranges. I am blessed to know her and be the receipient of her help and expertise.

This company is currently working on a bathroom remodel for me. They are extremely honest, professional and courteous. So far, the results have far exceeded my expectations.
