Seth and Kelli are a dynamic duo. Their experience shows in every detail of their designs. We have worked on several projects with them and each time their ability to execute on complex challenges has been impressive. Seth and Kelli are awesome. They remodeled my SF Mission flat. The kitchen is gorgeous, light filled and functional. They were a pleasure to work with. They've got great ideas, are practical with budgets and are completely committed to making the whole project successful.

Seth and Kelli designed a complete home remodel for our Encinitas Residence. They were very professional, easy to work with, quick to respond, and very detail oriented. They would take the extra time needed to work with the contractors through all phases of construction ensuring that the final product came out exactly as we expected. We worked with Seth and Kelli to remodel a portion of the downstairs of our Sunset SF home. This is a fairly common remodel in the Sunset and we had looked at dozens of examples. Most, if not all were dark, plain and did little to inspire us to go ahead with the project Their design however was unique and functional. It went well beyond anything we imagined could be done with the space. The area is now open and full of light with not a hint of the feeling of being in a basement. Their work did not end with their brilliant design. The time and effort they put in during the project working with the contractor went above and beyond. They were on top of every detail from the beginning to end and were able to help us keep the project on track.

Atelier did the architecture and project management on a renovation effort that impacted over half of the house, including two bathrooms, kitchen, master bedroom, office, closets, garage. They provided a number of aesthetic innovations, were totally involved and accessible, guided the contractors effectively, and were vigilant about operating within budget and timelines. We would highly recommend Atelier for your project.

We recently worked with Seth and Kelli on an extensive and detail-oriented kitchen remodel. From the beginning it was obvious that they spent a lot of time with the clients to truly determine their needs and their design aesthetic. In turn they produced a unique modern design for a kitchen that incorporates cool industrial elements in combination with natural materials, while meeting all of the functional needs for the culinary adventurous and enthused clients. Atelier KS did a great job working with us and our subcontractors to determine the best installation solutions for some of the more complicated design elements. As the general contractor, we always greatly appreciate design teams that maintain very open and responsive communications channels with all parties involved in the project, and Seth and Kelli go above and beyond in this aspect. #1 Strength: STYLE My husband and I wanted an architect with a modern, clean style but not too sterile. We thought Atelier KS balanced the tension between a minimalist, industrial look and natural warmth beautifully. The kitchen they designed for us featured industrial and natural materials mixed in unique ways (a metal appliance garage rolling up under an elegant white oak veneer). Their greatest design strength is probably their achievement of unique lines. A cantilevered side with a wood grain looking like falling rain accented what would have been a typical stone counter top. #2 Strength: CUSTOMIZATION We added an unusual piece to our project - a free-standing, fully customized jewelry cabinet. Kelli and Seth designed the cabinet from scratch, creating effortless gliding mechanisms to pull display cases from a large frame. Underneath were shallow drawers of different depths fitted with slots for rings and bracelets. After having searched online in vain for this piece, I was delighted when they designed it perfectly in form and function. They approached every aspect of the work from this angle, customizing drawer and garage mechanisms for our chef's kitchen. #3 Strength: WORKING IN A BUDGET As a young couple, Kelli and Seth understand what it's like to have ambitious plans within a smaller budget! They helped us maximize where we should spend for effect vs functionality - the classic hi/lo challenge. There's nothing worse than a developer designed house that has all the perfect finishes...until they wear out in two years. We were impressed with the quality of people Atelier KS hires, especially for the price, as well as their design approach to maximize client dollars.
