Brillante

In January of 2017, we moved into a new rental house and hired Brillante to create an e-design for our 4 year old son's bedroom. The home we moved into is a MCM Eichler and we wanted a design that would fit into this design scheme, while also being an organized and nurturing space for our son. All communication with Alana was prompt and thorough. She walked us through the design process by having us complete a design profile questionnaire. From there, she provided us with an e-design that included both items we were searching for and items that we could potentially purchase as extras. We appreciated the level of detail in the e-design, as it was user-friendly and all sourced items were up to date. After purchasing the items from the e-design, our son has deemed his bedroom as his most favorite space in our home. This is exactly what we were hoping for!

I turned to Alana to help us redesign our son's bedroom. A lanky 11 year old, he had suddenly out grown his bed and simultaneously needed more storage, shelving and desk space to better reflect the needs and tastes of his 6th Grade self. Alana is warm, polite and professional. She visited our home to assess the scope and size of our project, acquire a sense of our design taste, and she listened attentively to our design needs. Her first line of attack was to provide us with an initial concept board, a visual presentation which depicted the style, mood and colour of our future space. As they say, a picture is worth a thousand words. We loved it! From there, she sourced out furniture within our price range ( stuff I never would have found on my own) and laid out logistical options. She even came shopping with me to look for curtain rods, window coverings, baskets, and bedroom furniture, which I was able to purchase at a reduced price thanks to her interior design connections. Alana was wonderful to work with and we will definitely be using her again for future projects!

When I made the decision to renovate my spare bedroom into an Art Therapy studio space, I knew right away that Alana was the right person to help me with this job. I wanted the space to be welcoming, streamlined and functional; Alana has the perfect combination of an artistic eye, understanding the appropriate use of space, and hands-on experience working with art materials. Not only was she respectful of my personal style, but she also pushed my limits with bright, bold colours that I might have been too cautious to try on my own. I thoroughly appreciated being able to bounce ideas back and forth throughout the process and found Alana to be exceptionally receptive and accommodating to my feedback and input. Quality was never sacrificed for cost, and I am delighted with my new beautiful, arts-infused space! Alana was respectful of our family's budget and very resourceful sourcing decor, furnishing &accessories. She repurposed a number of items that we already owned. Approachable, so nice!!!!!...., knowledgable, and really listened and worked with my teenage daughter to help crate a space perfect for her.
