Chateau Window & Door Systems

Horrible experience from start to finish. We only selected Chateau based direction from our designer. Our first scheduled appointment at the showroom, the sales person had no idea we were coming or about our project (she was copied on all emails and confirmed the appointment date/time). We chalked it up to her having a bad day and proceeded - we should have stopped there. Over a year later and we still have defective products installed. This was a whole house window and doors, not a small project or cost. The windows were custom and Chateau used the wrong shop drawings - this meant that when delivered, half of the windows were the wrong size. Our GC was able to respond quickly and adjust the opening to accommodate but this was an additional expense. A custom iron door was delivered three time before Chateau's own installer agreed to install - each time their installer advised that the paint finish was sub-par. Sadly, it was installed and there are clear deficiencies / inclusions throughout the paint finish. None of the window screens were the correct size and it took over a year to get them replaced. A new door was to be installed in May 2023 but excused continue to be made on why it cannot be installed yet - at this point it is questionable on whether a new door has been fabricated. Escalations internally are fruitless with threats that Chateau will only install the door (in another 1-2 months!) if we agree in writing to pay the minor holdback remaining on the account. Based on our experience, I do not recommend this company.

Edgar and his team supplied the doors and windows for our first floor reno in 2008 and when we recently had a problem with our front door lock, he was able to send someone to our home the same day to have it fixed. Incredible service. We would easily select Chateau for future projects.

The owners and I relied on Chateau to recommend the best product line and options to meet our objectives of appearance, performance, and cost. This was a retrofit installation on a 70 year old house. We wanted to have maximum opening sizes and maintain the existing interior trim. The installers were accommodating, careful, efficient, had positive attitudes, and very good workmanship. The delivery and install dates were as promised, and the installed product has met all of our expectations.

Anyone renovating a home can attest to the complications and complexities of the process which can be extensive and exhaustive. Among the obstacles, sourcing beautiful windows and Chateau came recommended where it was our good fortune that I met Chris Booker. His professionalism, attentiveness and attention to detail stood out and I found I kept going back. The delivery was punctual. Our house renovation included 6 new windows and 2 doors. The team at Chateau was very helpful with a change in window design from what we had, explaining the product options and guiding us through the process. Delivery and installation was on schedule. The install team was very professional, taking care throughout the house and we appreciated the daily clean-up. The windows and doors look great, inside and out.

We hired this company for all of our windows and doors in our new home. They arrived on time and were installed within a week. Very happy with the product!. The company is good about warranty issues as well as we had some doors that needed adjusting a few months after we moved in.

We would give Chateau Windows and Doors -- and especially Pam Greenspoon -- our highest rating. We replaced all of our windows and doors (29 total) with high end substitutes in a large job. The price was competitive with other companies dealing in high quality materials -- but the service and attention we received made all of the difference. Pam made everything work extremely smoothly and reported to us regularly on the status of the project -- even making a few visits while the work was being done. She returned all of our calls/ emails on the same day -- even over the holidays. The crew, lead by Mike, was extremely professional and courteous and clearly had plenty of experience in window/ door installations. They cleaned up thoroughly each day on this one week installation. As would be the case with any large project, there were a few small wrinkles at the end, that Pam immediately took ownership of and worked hard to clear up. The work was done on time, for exactly the price that we contracted for. Even though we told Pam that we can be obsessively picky, she was up for it. She has our highest recommendation.

From the initial consultation to final installation, Edgar, Chris & the rest of the staff at Chateau have been nothing less than professional & helpful.
