Mikami Gardens

Corey and Karen MIkami have a passion for small space gardening and for crafting liveable friendly outdoor spaces that draw you out of the house and into the garden. Corey graduated with a B.A. in Environmental Studies from the University of California in Santa Cruz and studied Landscape Design at the Environmental Horticulture and Design Department at Foothill College, Los Altos Hills. Corey comes from a long line of long line of agricultural farmers from the Central Valley, so he has been crafting gardens since he was a young child. He has been creating both beautiful ornamental and edible gardens for over a decade and has been working for many years in slow foods. Corey works closely with his wife, Karen (as seen in the photo above above)! Karen uses her artistic flair and client centered approach to create the ideal garden. She is passionate about incorporating sustainable methods to her creative visions. Together they combine their skills to work as a dynamic duo designing and creating gardens that inspire and delight. Mikami Gardens believe in designing intelligently in an urban environment. We value using native and drought tolerant plants. This is akin to our philosophy of environmental sustainability.
