DME specializes in full-service home construction and remodel design throughout the Pacific Northwest. Our breadth of finely detailed residential work covers a variety of architectural styles from new homes, large-scale renovations to small remodels. We had the DME as the general contractor on our project Barrels Wine Bar on Mercer Island, WA. Eric and Rich were the two that oversaw the project. They were extremely professional staying in contact even when we were out of the country while the work was progressing. Trust is perhaps the most important part of any relationship, and we had a great deal of trust in them to get things done on time and pithing budget. They exceeded our exceptions with trust and quality of work. You can stop by Barrels Wine Bar see what they accomplished and confirm that their work is impeccable. Plus they work well with the City of Mercer Island, which in itself is a big plus. They navigated the permitting process very professionally.

DME did a fantastic job with our patio and backyard project. DME suggested the best materials to use for our project and the results are amazing. We have a beautiful patio with low-voltage, lighted stone walls, a fountain and more family/entertaining space. Our project went smoothly from start to finish even with adjustments for wet PNW weather. A big thank you to Dave and his talented crew.

DME completed an addition to our home. We added additional garage space, a media room, office, additional living space and an outdoor room. Everyone we encountered with DME was professional and had great customer service. Their quality of work was excellent and they are easy to work with.

DME completed a remodel of our home that included among many other things our kitchen, guest bathroom, and rebuilding our deck. They completed it on budget and on time all while we still lived there! They were respectful, creative, cooperative, and competent. I've always only heard remodel horror stories before finding DME. My husband and I are addicted to the process now and are dreaming of the house we will build with DME someday!

David Elwell did an excellent job on our midcentury home remodel. He really listened to what we wanted on every detail. He thought "outside the box" when we needed him to, respected our vision for the project and provided solutions. David was very responsive and attentive to our requests—they were addressed immediately, many times that same day. He was present on site, always reachable and showed a spirited attitude toward the project. His crew was very efficient, friendly and did a great job of keeping the work site clean. We are very happy with our home and would recommend DME for any project.

They built a new house for me. It's a nice looking house from outside but has big problems with hardwood floors and concrete patio which were not properly done. There're cracks all over the hardwood floors, and the concrete patio has big cracks and ugly discolorations all over the place before I even moved in. They refused to fix the concrete patio and told me that all concrete cracks (big cracks and discoloration on new concrete!). I've never see concrete so ugly before (They didn't put much gravels under the concrete and some places have concrete directly on top of dirt. One of their office clerks told me that it's ok to put concrete directly on dirt. How funny!). The hardwood floor was installed in a super fast way by some newbies. They didn't check for defect boards at all. Now the floor has ups and downs and cracks all over the place. They blamed me for extra humidity of the house which was 51.2% on that summer day and won't let me see the inspection report from the floor manufacture. Not a trustworthy company.

I love working with them because I don't have to worry about a thing. The job is done on time, on budget and they leave their job site clean. I have designed over a dozen custom and spec homes for DME and its clients, and these projects have been remarkable for their smooth project management, quality of construction, and attention to detail. Our most recent project was a 6000sf lodge-style custom home in Bellevue, WA. The clients had strong design input with plenty of sketches and revisions. All the twists and turns were expertly navigated by DME Construction, and the final result far exceeded my expectations. That's why DME is at the top of my referral list!

DME has almost completed our addition. Every aspect of the job has gone smoothly. I have 3 young children and one more on the way. With little ones running around I was worried about construction garbage. The site is immaculate when they leave each day allowing the kids to check out the progress with us and play outside when they finish each day. I cannot say enough good things about their professionalism, realistic timeline and how quickly the work is proceeding. The scheduling has been incredible. I would highly recommend them. I will absolutely use DME for future projects.

Commented: Is it possible to turn on the shower without getting wet?Design was per client/interior designer spec. They're plan is to turn the tub on first to get the water warm, then turn the shower on.
