I have two recessed Ascension mirrors in a discontinued size in a custom bathroom. When the mirrored front of one was shattered by a contractor I had no choice but to reach out and ask for a replacement. To say the company was ungracious would be an understatement, but it ultimately agreed after some arm twisting. I was required to send the door even tho all I needed was a replacement mirror. I was quoted $800 plus $100 for shipping. Two plus months later, after receiving less than credible reasons for numerous delays, the door was sent back. To my amazement, the door had numerous problems. The replacement mirror on the front was 1/4" thick when it should have been 3/16". The inside mirror, which they replaced because the old one got scratched while sitting on the shop floor for over a month, was loose and came off. And the LED lighting didn't work. The idiot engineering team must have damaged the wiring when getting the shattered mirror off. It then screwed up the rewiring and didn't test it before sending it back.
The only sophisticated technology involved is the machinery to make the mirror fronts. Nothing proprietary or state of the art. And the mirrors are simply attached with Velcro with the LED lighting coming from LED strips you can buy online.
When I complained, the company apologized for "the inconvenience ". Also said it was always planned to be a free repair. LIE. Does this sound like an inconvenience? Does this sound like a company that has pride in its workmanship and understands the value of a happy customer?

I ordered two of the Eyla LED lighted mirrors from Electric Mirror. After they were installed, it was immediately apparent that they did not look like the pictures on their website. When we inquired about a replacement, they were only willing to send us parts to repair each mirror, which we would have to pay an electrician to do ourselves. Mind you, these mirrors were over $2000 each. This is their response to our people handling our project:
“What they received was the original design of the mirror. Electric Mirror is offering to redesign the chassis so that the corners are more consistently lit with the rest of the mirror. The chassis is the portion of the mirror assembly that is causing the issue. It is the part that needs to be replaced. There is nothing wrong with the mirror portion of the assembly. We are offering to change the design of the chassis for this customer. The only other option is to return the mirrors and chassis for a refund.”
“Redesign” means we (customer) pay to have new chassis installed. They admitted that they didn’t send us what we ordered, yet we have to pay to have it fixed. Never got an answer as to why they couldn’t just send us the two mirrors that we ordered, with the correct chassis. We are sending them back and going with a lighted mirror from Paris Mirror instead.
Also, our contact at Ferguson said that they will no longer be recommending Electric Mirror to their customers.

I purchased two mirrors as part of a major remodel from Electric Mirror through a local distributor. They are absolutely beautiful and eye-catching. When friends visit, they almost always comment on them. The built-in clocks are especially attractive. Even the architect who designed the house was surprised at how good they looked. He hadn't spec'd them originally, but wrote down the product information when he saw them. We had a couple of small issues, but the Electric Mirror staff was terrific in helping to resolve them. Highly recommended!

I recently was at The Electric Mirror's World Headquarters, and I have to say, I was very impressed. What a terrific facility and the people were so positively driven to make a fantastic and reliable product. The customer service team is A #1! I came away from my visit very much confident in the pride and care placed into each product. It's terrific to see this wonderful product made here in America! Sincerely Jeff

I'm now the proud owner of an Electric Mirror Elixir lighted make up mirror. The first thing that struck me when I opened the box was the quality of the mirror. It's very solid and substantial for its size--not at all like so many of the small electronic products made in China. The light source is a very flattering color, and the mirror is evenly illuminated. Now that I have this small product, and see the great quality, I'm thinking of ways to use larger Electric Mirror lighted mirrors in my house.

I installed a Silhouette lighted mirror mirror by Electric Mirror in my bathroom and my wife and I love it! The additional lighting has transformed our guest bathroom from a dark and weak point of our house to a highlight that we enjoying showing our guests. My Silhouette is in an alcove so there is no need for side diffusers. The light both washes against the wall for an ambient lighting and shines through the perimeter for great task lighting in the bathroom.

I don't often post reviews, but I felt I had to for such an epic failure. We purchased three mirrors from the Electric Mirror Company. Two of them had built in diffusers. These act as a box around the florescent bulbs to prevent them from being exposed on the sides of the mirrors. The mirrors protrude from the wall and without the diffusers, the bulbs would remain exposed.
The two smaller mirrors with the built in diffusers work well. For our larger more expensive mirror, we had to purchase diffusers separately. The mirror with the diffuser add on had exposed florescent bulbs on the sides when delivered. Once mounted on the wall, the florescent bulbs are exposed and are the first thing you see when you enter the bathroom.
At first Electric Mirror didn't sent the diffusers (this was red flag one). When I contacted our sales person she first said we hadn't ordered them (red flag two). When I produced our sales receipt for the mirrors with the diffusers she contacted Electric Mirror.
They shipped us four clear panels, installation bars to join the panels to the mirror and instructions.
The instructions were red flag number three. Ikea offers more guidance. The installation bars have fewer holes than the bars meant to connect to the mirror. In addition, the bars can not be physically connected to the mirror as the instructions appear to recommend. We have had two contractors, two craftsmen, one plumber and two electricians spend hours trying to install the diffusers. All have reached the same conclusion: the diffusers can not be attached. This leads us to believe that the product was not intended to have diffusers, in which case we would not have purchased, or that the product is defective. We have been in contact contact with the company. We have even spoken with an engineer to explain the problem. Electric Mirror has refused to remedy the problem. I post this as a warning. This was an expensive item, but it does not come with diffusers and instead leaves exposed raw florescent bulbs. If you are considering purchasing you should know this. Ask if the diffuser is built in, if not DO NOT PURCHASE.
