Now we do not want to mislead anyone to believe that this wood is from the true Cedar family tree. The cost of a true western cedar tree would never be practical for a back yard fence. There is not a fence company in Nebraska that uses the Eastern Cedar. They all use a western cedar or a type of cedar from the west coast or an import from another country.
