Adam and the crew at EngineHouse helped us in a near-complete gut and remodel of our large home. The workmanship, conscientiousness, and attention to detail were second to none. The scope of the project was huge to start and actually increased due to some surprises behind the walls, but they faced any challenge with aplomb and patience. The end result is a home which I could easily see in Architectural Digest. I still catch myself staring in admiration at a certain design element, or through a strategically-placed window. Adam and EngineHouse went above and beyond the expected in too many instances to count. We cannot recommend them highly enough. Thanks EngineHouse!

This is our second project with Engine House. Last year they fabricated the stainless steel railing in the photos. This year, they reinforced our cantilevered decks and clad them in Ipe wood. They are highly professional, talented in design, skilled in engineering, meticulous in execution and delightful to work with. We are already anticipating our next project with them!

I hired EngineHouse to design and build my house on Block Island. Although they hadn't worked on the island previously, they were able to navigate red tape at both state and local levels and deliver a project that completely exceeded my expectations. Every detail of the house was carefully considered and the craftsmanship superb. I would highly recommend them for any new construction project.

My siblings and I hired EngineHouse to do some major repairs on the foundation of my parents' 100+ year old home. The work was extensive and required jacking up the floor, digging some new footers to install new supports and bracing the existing joists. The work needed was pointed out during a home inspection to sell the home. When the EngineHouse crew was working they found another joist that was in even worse shape than the two identified by the independent home inspector. The EngineHouse representative gave us an exact account of what additional work was suggested and we opted to have the entire job done at that time. The work was excellent and will support the home for another 100 years. The crew was respectful of the antique pool table they had to work around and not a mark was on the table. They also cleaned up after the work and the basement was cleaner than before the work was started. EngineHouse did substantial work when we bought, gutted and redid our entire loft condo in the Strip District. The main items EngineHouse built were a uniquely shaped, raised office, walk-in closet cabinetry, a large cherry shelving unit and a concrete hearth in front of the fireplace. Everything Adam and EngineHouse did is creative, beautiful, and extremely functional. They never failed to exceed our expectations. Our guests always comment on the beauty of EngineHouse's work. Adam is a perfectionist and is very easy and comfortable to work with. I would definitely hire EngineHouse again and would give them the very highest rating possible.

We engaged EngineHouse to design and build a shelving room-divider as the final phase of a kitchen remodel. The remodel removed the wall between the dining room and kitchen of a 1901 Victorian house and we wanted the divider to serve a dual purpose: 1. provide storage for plates/dishes and 2. create a bridge between the old and new aesthetics. We are designers ourselves so we wanted the shelves to look as if they 'belonged' to the house but we were open to the use of unusual, industrial materials. Aside from discussing number of shelves and the doorway openings, we pretty much gave them free reign and they didn't disappoint. Through every stage of the process, from concept through materials presentation and fabrication they were absolutely wonderful to work with. The estimate was accurate and we couldn't believe how meticulous they were in building the piece and looking after our house during the construction (which was brief and efficient). Everyone who comes into our home raves about the room divider. We couldn't be happier and will work with them again!
