Fun House Furnishings & Design

Our family used Fun House Furnishings & Design to decorate (from top to bottom!) our newly purchased, although dated, beach house last spring. We were absolutely thrilled with the result--a bright, fresh, chic, beautiful yet comfortable abode which has garnered tons of compliments! The Fun House team came up with fabulous ideas to lighten up, freshen and modernize the cabinetry, floors, light fixtures and paint since we were not yet ready to do construction renovation. The team had total freedom to decorate--and each room is a mix of fun colors and beautiful, interesting, eclectic pieces. As a result of the team's ingenuity, we now plan to indefinitely hold off on any further renovations. In addition to being highly talented, as well as professional, the Fun House team is caring, courteous and lots of fun to work with! And their efficiency blew us away--our house was completely designed and furnished in a few short months, and the team stayed within our budget! We originally hired Fun House because, several years prior to opening the store, Jennifer Connell helped us with another project and, in addition to fully enjoying the experience, we were incredibly impressed with her talent, expertise and ability to meet deadlines and budgets. We recommend Fun House very, very highly.

I first saw the "talent" of the FunHouse designers at " Mansions in May" house tour. I immediately connected with their fresh, innovative style and met with them. For my Family Room renovation FunHouse guided my choices by listening to my preferences. They provided additional options, incorporated my existing pieces and respected my budget- always without prompting. We hired Jennifer Connell and the Funhouse team to decorate and assist with the design of our home prior to closing. Jennifer not only helped shoose key elements of each room but helped in construction decisions. She worked with us regarding colors of paints, hearth and fireplace design, molding, appliances etc. She traveled with me to assist in picking out materials and items and was integral in designing our home. We are still using Funhouse designs to assist with decisions regarding EVERY aspect of our home. I trust them implicitly.

The ladies at the fun house are professional, creative, and a fresh answer to home furnishings for the Somerset Hills. I have had both partners in my home to make my rooms more "livable and updated". In five hours they made my stodgy home look new with my existing items. I purchased furnishings from them that "played well" with my beloved furnishings. They stay within budge, they listen to how you live, and they are a pleasure to work with. Gabby, is a delight and I highly recommend her energy and eye for decorating. I love Jane, Jennifer and Gabby at Funhouse! I hired them primarily because I could see -- on their website and in their store -- that they could design outside of the box. I didn't want the typical, matchy-matchy, stodgy house. I wanted something fresh and unique. They helped me figure out my own preferred style and then re-designed my living room, dining room and foyer and are now working on my bedroom. I absolutely love what they've done and they worked with me to keep costs under control. They were honest about what wasn't working and steered me away from bad choices. They are talented designers and I have had a great time working with them. I would highly recommend them for projects big and small.

Fun House Furnishings designed and installed 2 of my daughters bedrooms and we were very pleased with both rooms. Currently, they are in the process of designing my family room. Every one associated with Fun House is courteous, professional and honest. They stay within the budgets you give them and are very practical. They approach a project like it was going to be installed in their own homes. The list of associates they work with, are also very professional. Fun House coordinates all the work and makes installations as easy as possible.

Hiring Jennifer and Jane Connell of Fun House Furnishings & Design was one of the all time best decisions I have ever made. They were amazing! I had tried other designers before and it never worked out. After seeing my house, Jennifer and Jane gave me their concept as to what they wanted to do. Well, I bought into their concept and told them to make all of the decisions and make it happen. I did not want to be consulted. Just do it. Well, the finished project was beyond any expectations that I had. I never imagined that my house could be so beautiful. All of my interactions with Jane and Jennifer and all of the staff at Fun House Furnishings & Design were great. Truly I felt like I was part of their family!
