KRAIG is the Managing Partner and Founder of Kraig Kalashian Architecture and Design. Prior to forming the company in 2009, Kraig held positions at Brennan Beer Gorman Monk, The Trump Organization, and Gensler, where he was the Practice Area Leader for Hospitality Design as well as a Studio Director. Kraig’s passion for craft has led him to pursue multiple disciplines in addition to architecture; these include carpentry, masonry, stained glass craftsmanship, photography, art, music, writing, and graphic design. Kraig is LEED accredited and NCARB certified, allowing him to practice architecture in multiple states. KKAD was recently recognized as a NEWH New York "Top ID Firm" in 2017 and a Gold Key Awards finalist in "Best Hotel" for the Hotel Phillips in Kansas City.

Commented: I was wondering how long it took you to build this?in total, it took three days - one day to frame. one day to trim out and caulk. and one day to paint and finish the tack panels along the back.

Commented: Top of railing??that's correct - the cap is just a bunch of 1x stock wrapped in a u-shape with mitred corners.

Commented: comfortersSorry but I am not familiar with the California market for custom millwork - my guess is that you could find a good carpenter to do this for about $5k.

Commented: Love those closet doors!They are from IKEA but they discontinued the full glass doors due to high breakage rates in transport. You can definitely have these custom made but they would probably be costly. Sorry for the bad ...
