Karen Petersen is an excellent Designer. She is very easy to work with and pleasant to be around. I love what she did for me.

When we purchased our home in SC, I had the daunting experience of having to furnish the entire house, while living in Boston. After interviewing several interior designers, Karen was the best fit. She understood what I wanted even if at times I did not. She would stay in touch via phone, email and regular mail, with pictures and swatches. When I would spend a few weeks in SC, she would take me shopping to some hidden gems and as the rooms came together, I fell in love. Karen has a great eye and offers her opinion to help guide you along the way. I could not be happier with all the furnishings, rugs, wall art and decorative pieces. I am a huge HGTV fan and imagine my glee when I someone said to me that the house "looked like the rooms were designed by HGTV"! I highly recommend Karen Peterson Interiors.

Having moved here at the beginning of Covid from IL, found our move was rushed and didn’t have time to get rid of furniture. After deciding the furniture we moved wasn’t a fit for SC new home, we were looking for an interior designer to help us redecorate. Saw Karen’s advertisement in the monthly Woodside publication. After our initial get-together, Karen took us shopping for new furniture. After careful furniture selection, we worked together on rugs, window treatments, paint and wallpaper. We are pleased with all of her suggestions. Karen is thorough and prompt in replying to our many questions over the past few months. Look forward to working with her again after a brief respite on other projects.

Karen was the perfect choice for me in redecorating our master bedroom. Her knowledge and professional experience prevented me from making some costly mistakes. Her communication skills are excellent. She is always on site when you need her advice. Kudos to her!

I have used Karen Peterson on numerous re-decorating projects. She is very professional in that she gets the "JOB" done. She helped me with wallpaper, painting, upholstering not only chairs but a settee. Karen is a very lovely, very professional lady. She had exactly the fabric I was looking for and knew precisely the kind of look I wanted to achieve. We are so pleased with our finished guest room. Everyone who sees it comments on how tasteful and beautiful it is.

I am a single guy who purchased a new home but it just did not look very nice. After speaking to several people I hired Karen. Very quickly she completely changed the house by providing carpets, drapes, furniture, and the odds and ends that one needs to make a house a home. I think she did and excellent job!

I had a 30 year old, favorite chair and ottoman that I wish to have recovered. I had searched in every fabric store and spent hours online searching for fabric. I knew what I wanted but just couldn't find it. Karen was able to understand the look I wanted and quickly pulled several fabric samples from her amazing selection. I love the result!
