Since its establishment in 1992, the firm has been serving clients in Ohio and West Virginia with professional architectural and planning services. The firm is led by Constantine “Gus” Kayafas who has been involved in the construction and design industry for over 30 years.
As one of the leading residential design firms in the area, Kayafas Architects has experience in new homes, additions and remodeling. While providing innovative solutions to fit current lifestyles, Kayafas Architects has also consistently created designs that fit into the historical context of local neighborhoods. The staff of Kayafas Architects also has extensive background in accessible design and renovation for handicap compliance as well as commercial projects.
The firms “green” related work was featured in the December 2010 issue of the nationally distributed magazine, GB&D - Green Building & Design Magazine.
In response to the need for a more comprehensive project delivery method, Design Build and Construction Management division was established in 2009. This division allows clients to benefit from reduced professional fees and an accelerated design and construction time.
Kayafas Architects also provides residential and commercial historic preservation services. Mr. Kayafas has personally resurrected numerous historic homes and appreciates the value intact residential neighborhoods can bring to a community.
Kayafas Architects also has very good relations with local builders and craftsmen. His response from contractor solicitations for project bids conclude with a positive outcome so as not to alienate bidders on future projects.
Their full time staff is composed of Architects, Designers, CADD technicians, Clerical & Personnel Staff and Mr. Kayafas himself who is directly involved in all projects.
