Hinman did a fantastic job remodeling our house from the planning phase all the way through the finishes. During the work we lived in another state. Kim and the crew kept us up to date on all aspects and took care of day to day things making the process seamless. Aside from the excellent communication the work was second to none. I could not have asked for a better experience. I would highly recommend Hinman Construction to anyone.

We had downsized from our family home to a smaller home that needed renovation. They designed and built a beautiful , efficient kitchen, two new bathrooms, hardwood floors and a stunning fireplace. Every detail was covered. They were very responsive, easy to work with and always polite, courteous and professional. Incredible quality, conscientiousness and attention to detail. They exceeded even our hopes for the sunroom we added to our house. The results are beautiful. We love the space. They made everything match with the trim in our house, made every detail tie in, and did everything with care and quality. The Hinman's recently did a renovation to our foyer, staircase, upstairs landing and dining room, which including new paneling, molding and wainscoting. We were completely blown away with the results. They had been highly recommended by a co-worker, and the results showed why. The craftsmanship and attention to detail was amazing. True professionals who take pride in their work. When completed, everything just popped. It looked better than we anticipated and we were delighted with the work. Our kitchen renovation completed by Hinman Construction was fabulous! Kim's design opened up our whole house. The Hinman reputation was apparent as we shopped together for materials and appliances. Jami & his crew are knowledgeable and attentive to even the small details. The construction site was very well maintained and orderly. Hinman Construction recently completed a master suite addition, porch rebuild, new roof and replaced the siding on my home. Although I was ready to make some significant changes to my Saratoga Springs bungalow, the thought of a major remodel was overwhelming and intimidating. I did my research and began the task of picking a contractor. As soon as I met Kim and Jami I knew this was the team I wanted to complete my project. Their combined knowledge, expertise and confidence immediately put me at ease and instilled a sense of trust which continued throughout the renovation. Kim worked very closely with me on the design of the addition, her experience and expertise helped me to make the best decisions in managing the space I wanted while always keeping my budget in mind. Kim was always available to provide support and vision related to the project. I was especially pleased with her recommendations related to the Greenfield Cabinet vanity that I picked out for my bathroom. The construction phase of my remodel was seamless. Jami, the project manager was on site daily, his perspective, amazing attention to detail and craftsmanship guided me in making sure the final project was everything I wanted. Matt and Jesse worked tirelessly every day, their work ethic, professionalism and diligence provided a constant presence which helped to move the project forward. Throughout the remodel it was evident that Jami, Kim, Jesse and Matt really enjoy and take great pride in what they do, they have an amazing rapport which eases the normal stress and anxiety related to a major project in your living space. I would highly recommend, without reservation, Hinman Construction and would absolutely utilize them for any of my construction projects in the future.

Ten years ago the Hinmans rebuilt our kitchen and bathroom. They did a fanatastic job. Anyone who visits are just blown away. A few years later we had the Hinmans put new Hardie board siding on our house. A labor intensive and quality job. We moved recently and quite frankly, we truly believe our house sold in one day because of the work the Hinmans had done for us. They are great people who do great work.

I purchased an 1850's Greek Revival that had been added on to and remodeled over the years. The kitchen was well past due and the adjoining back room also served as a mudroom and TV room, not to mention the principal entry from the driveway, garage, and pool area. Everything was dark and tired. Although I had a vision, I did not know how to proceed, or if the vision was even feasible. I found Jami and Kim via friends and Houzz. They were enthusiastic about the potential and the challenges, and dove right in. Kim was terrific in helping me choose cabinets, countertops, and colors, as well as coordinating the lighting design. Jami and his team of true craftsmen worked at an amazing pace but at the same time managed to be perfectionists. As others have commented, I never came home at the end of the day to a workspace that was not immaculate. Most importantly, I was never out of the loop. Every day things would come up, as they must in every job but particularly in an old house filled with idiosyncrasies, and they never went ahead without asking for my input or approval. Thus, it truly was a work in progress. The end result is stunning. Dark walls are now filled with windows that welcome the sun. The kitchen is bright and warm and spacious from the hardwood floors to the exposed original beams. The Greenfield cabinets are truly elegant in design. They also have more than enough space and versatility for this cook. I can entertain with the adjoining dining space or start my day in a cozy breakfast nook that looks out over the pool. The back door now opens into a true mudroom that sports more Greenfield cabinetry as well as a custom barn-style closet door and a natural edge wood boot/shoe bench. Matching barn doors also hide a back stairway, the laundry, and a hall closet. The bathroom, which once opened on to the living room, is now tucked down a side hallway where it is also easily accessed by those enjoying the deck and pool. It also offers a heated tile floor for cold stocking feet in the winter and wet feet stepping out of the shower. Jami, his son Jesse, and the ever-stalwart Matt did it all, from soup to nuts, under the careful scrutiny of Kim. They make a great team. They love doing what they do and have fun doing it. It truly shows in the results.

I have partnered with Hinman Construction on several projects. They are highly dedicated to their clients in an effort to make each project special for the end user. In addition, they are very conscientious of overall budgets, well versed in new construction techniques and are a pleasure to work with.

We hired Hinman Construction to help us design and build out a space in our house that was seldom ever used. The key was to make the space both beautiful and functional. They worked with us closely through every aspect of the design process until we came up with the perfect design. Their expertise helped guide us where we would have otherwise potentially made a poor design decision. Much of our first floor was involved in the construction, however it never became an inconvenience. Jami and the team were super neat, blocking off areas so construction dust would not infiltrate our entire home. We have 4 children and lived in a 3 bedroom home in Ballston Spa. As the kids grew the space shrunk and it was time to decide to either expand in our current home or move out to a bigger home. We love our neighborhood and ultimately decided to stay put and do an addition. We had all of the reservations that you have entering into this type of a major project. We went with Hinman Construction based on addition work they did for a neighbor, which we were impressed with. All I can say is that they surpassed every expectation we had! Professional, friendly, clean and most importantly the finished product is amazing! We added two bedrooms over our garage, we built out our mudroom and renovated our kitchen. It looks like a new house! I highly recommend Hinman Construction and cannot say enough about how refreshed I am to have worked with such professionals who bring knowledge and structure to what was a very daunting engagement for a family with 4 kids. Hinman Construction was great to work with, from the initial project design to the exceptional quality of their work. I was nervous about getting into a massive two story addition with two dogs, a toddler, and a newborn; they made it easier than we thought it was going to be!

Hinman Construction did new siding, windows (including interior finishing), doors and roof on our house and arranged for stone work to be done. They are very professional, knowledgeable on products and incredibly neat, clean and organized workers. Love the finished product!

I was very impressed with their professionalism. The project was a bonus room remodel and a bathroom remodel in a 1973 built ranch style home. They were very good about cleaning up each and every day. They were very considerate of our needs. We only had one bathroom and during the remodel they made sure to reset the toilet and were only inconvenienced for a couple of days without a shower. They were also very personal. They were willing to help out with moving a couple of tractors for me and they fixed a refrigerator door handle without being asked. I came home one day and the driveway was shoveled. This added a personal touch. They were priced a little higher than others but it is worth paying more if you know you are getting quality work. I would recommend them for any project they were great to work with.

Completed our three season porch on time and as promised. Very happy with the work and highly recommend if you are looking for a contractor.

I won't use anyone else. They are professional, accurate with their estimates, on-time, never leave the job until it's completed, clean up after every work day as if they were never there, and if you're using them to complete a job you made a home-owner's claim on, they will got toe-to-toe with the adjuster to make sure you get the right amount of money to complete the job right.

We hired Hinman Construction to build a master suite addition (Bedroom, Bathroom and Laundry room) onto our Center Hall Colonial home. The addition was going over our family room and garage which were both on a slab. They worked with us to minimize the disruption to the main part of the house as they did the new construction and then tied everything into the existing structure. The entire process, design, demolition, construction, product selection and installation took three months with 3-4 weeks being lost due to weather and holidays. We were very pleased with their professionalism throughout the process. Several neighbors of ours commented on how well organized and efficient they were. When the day was done, they would ensure that all materials and tools were stored in a secure place and then walked the yard with metal detectors to ensure there were no nails or sharp objects. This was very important to us because we have two dogs and we wanted to make sure there were no sharp objects left behind. Kim worked with us on product selection and room colors. She also took on the responsibility for ordering everything and ensuring the products were at the site when they were ready to be installed. Jamie and his crew did all the construction and worked with us on the most efficient designs. They both listened to what we wanted and worked with us throughout the process. We are extremely happy with their work and we would not only use them again but would recommend them to anyone who has a home improvement project.

I contracted Hinman Construction to do a complete remodel of a master bathroom as well as installing hardwood floors in the bedroom, crown molding & all new doors. From the start they were very professional in outlining & describing the design & fully engaging my wife & I to assure it met our desires & budget. Due to personal reasons, we needed to postpone the job twice & they were very accomodating. Jamie and his crew were very friendly and hard working. Every night the room was cleaned up & there was never a mess. The work itself was meticulous & the attention to detail oustanding. Every day Jamie would outline the plan for that day & would always ask questions to assure he was meeting our expectations. He volunteered to do some outside of scope work such as running cable to a new TV and installing it without additional charge. He also repaired a water damaged ceiling & fixed the leak. Likewise, Kim was a pleasure to work with. She prepared the design on a computer & met with us at the various supply companies to help us pick out the many items needed (vanity, counter, faucets, tile etc). It was great to have a guiding experienced hand. Would highly recommend!

Hinman Construction completely renovated the kitchen master bath and half bath with laundry in our 25 year old house. The main floor kitchen, halls and bath/laundry had floors removed and completely replaced with tile. The ceilings were smoothed and everything was replaced. The workmanship was perfect and the entire staff was professional and friendly. The job was done on time and on budget.

We used Hinman Construction for our Kitchen remodel. They were great from start to finish. Kim is valuable and knowledgeable in the planning stages. She worked with our "vision" and made suggestions to improve and utilize our space efficiently. Jami is an awesome carpenter and is great with detail. Hinman Construction renovated our bathroom, right down to the studs. We kept the same footprint, but with all new floor, walls, widow and fixtures. After measuring the room, Kim provided a computer rendering that she updated to reflect our selections as we made them. This was very helpful in visualizing the cohesiveness of the selections. Kim arranged for consultants familiar with the products, and visited the suppliers with us. We didn’t make that easy – this from here, that from there – even the tiles came from two different suppliers. Jami and the guys were great at the execution. They protected the rest of the house, and made it livable before leaving each night. Their knowledge and workmanship are superb. They were not the low bidders; they inspired the most confidence and provided the most help before the work began. That confidence was not misplaced. The results were outstanding.

We contracted with Hinman Construction after reviewing 2 other bids. They were professional, took time to listen to our vision, priced competitively, and then transferred that to a completed project. We added a family room addition off the back of our home with a back porch entry. Jami and Kim were excellent to work with in the design and then the build of the addition. They worked full days until the project was done and always left a clean organized worksite. Jami was onsite everyday and had great attention to detail. We had concern over the addition flowing and matching with the existing house and they did a great job with this detail. We wanted to remodel our bathroom and went online to find a local firm to do the job. We were impressed with the Hinman Construction website and decided to have them come in to give us some ideas. Our bathroom project turned out beautiful. We were so pleased we decided to have them come back to refinish our hardwood floors - living rm, dining rm, hallway, stairs. They also created a new banister and replaced all our interior doors with 6 panel white doors. Everything looks so nice. We decided to do a 3rd project with them - update our family room and replace fixtures in our 1/2 bath. Our house looks like a new home! The Hinmans will definitely work with your needs in mind.
