We’ve been working with Lea during 2021 on a project to fully renovate our vacation home, which is on the coast down south. We have previously worked with Lea on 2 projects on our Connecticut house. At first, we were concerned how smoothly it would work given we were remote and that the style of the vacation house we were aiming for was “coastal chic” and airy rather than a New England-y casual beach feel. We trusted our gut - knowing Lea’s easy-going personality, her enthusiasm for projects, her gift of listening to clients and turning thoughts into concepts and then into reality. Well, the project is nearing completion and we couldn’t be happier. Our meetings with the GC are organized by Lea, our new kitchen has the “wow” factor we wanted yet is so very functional for our lifestyle, all 4 bathrooms are showstoppers - especially the master with its gorgeous tub, new window, stunning shower and sauna — and the rest of the home is unbelievable with little details and accents that Lea designed and which make it special and hit the bull’s eye for the feel and style we envisioned and described when we first discussed this project with Lea. Hiring Lea again turned out to be the best decision! She is a talented designer and fun to work with! If she has room to take you as a client, hire her! She is worth it.

We engaged Lea to oversee the final design touches on our home renovation. We have been very pleased with the color pallet, lighting, flooring and the ease at which she interfaces with our general contractor. We certainly will use Lea on future projects.

We worked with Lea during a major renovation, modernization and addition to our colonial house. Lea focused on the master suite, particularly the bathroom suite, but also helped us with the overall house color palette/aesthetics. Lea worked closely with my wife and I to help us capture the effect we wanted. Lea always listens, and works with attention to design detail, including hardware, lighting and tiles. She kept in close contact with our Architect and Contractor to ensure modifications were in line with the overall aesthetic and practical but still pushed the boundaries. We wanted the bathroom to feel spa-like and bring the outdoors in and Lea transformed our originally envisaged plan and elevated the design to a totally new level to include; wet room, new tub location and style, amazing tile selection and custom cabinetry. We are thrilled with our space every single day and I highly recommend Lea.

Lea designed my kitchen and bathrooms and was great to work with. She created a beautiful and functional space for us. She also picked the paint colors throughout our home and was a pleasure to work with. She really likes to collaborate with her clients and is always available for questions or concerns. She cares a lot about having a happy client. I highly recommend Lea!

I found my way to Lea through my local Facebook community site, and am so grateful for the referral. We first connected when we were just starting to think about renovating our kitchen and have found her to be immensely helpful for our process. For a working couple with a busy household, Lea took the time and really understood what we needed. Her suggestions/recommendations were right on point - for design, as well as for resources. She referred us to our contractor, who has also been amazing to work with. And because she had worked with him before, the communications between the three of us has been seamless, and the project has proceeded smoothly. Lea is flexible and does her best to align with your taste/needs, but listen to her recommendations - she has great ideas. When her suggested paint color was ultimately put on the walls, my husband said, "I now understand why we hired a designer!" Our kitchen looks beautiful.

We hired Lea to help us with our kitchen and family room renovation. We were on a rush timeframe with a strict budget, so we needed someone that could help us make quick affordable decisions on style and colors. Lea was perfect for this. She’s a pleasure to work with and has a great sense of style. We move often and needed to ensue our design would work well for resale. Lea helped us ensure that the kitchen was in our style while keeping in mind resale potential.

When my wife and I began the thought process of what a kitchen renovation would take we quickly realized we were way over our heads realizing all the things we did not know about the process! Lea came in and listened to all our thoughts , ideas, wishes and was quick to educate with her experience making great suggestions to assist us in our thinking. Then we realized we weren’t just doing a kitchen as we realized after dropping a wall that we needed to add a dining room upgrade ! Lea made quick creative suggestions that were amazing ! And actionable And after that we decided why not do the half bath downstairs !, Lea was quick to help with pallet suggestions and little upgrades here and there that didn’t break the bank but added real value to the project. Her recommendation on contractors were spot on as well , as we underwent the review process we found her recommendation to a great match not only for our budget but our personalities as well - that made a great difference Highly highly highly recommend working with Lea , her knowledge, creativity, and personality made the project fun and made a stressful situation fun

Working with Lea on the renovation and expansion of my home has been a joy and the results have been gorgeous. From day one she has been committed to making my husband's and my home just that, our home. She isn't trying to make an artistic statement to further her brand, but rather to work in collaboration with me to realize what my husband and I want our home to be. What I believe sets Lea apart are two things: The first is her exceptional skill with layout, flow and proportion. In the architect's plans, Lea felt the bedrooms and bathrooms were not laid out as well as they could have been. After judiciously soliciting my opinion (so as not to create a problem if I didn't see one), with my encouragement, Lea set to work to improve on what we both saw as a sub-optimal layout and came up with a significantly improved design. As far as her taste goes, I have to say it's excellent, but that may be self-serving, since we tend to like the same things. I don't know if that's innate or that she's become so tuned into my taste she picks items she knows will work well and that I will like. Either way, the results are excellent. Last, but not least, Lea is a delight, personally. She has a can-do attitude, is calm, extremely well organized and a pleasure to work with. Though we still have a way to go on this project (start to finish will have been close to a year) I will miss her when the job is done.

We used Lea Schulman to help us transform a mud/laundry area in our house. The new room is functional and beautiful! She is a pleasure to work with, open to ideas and feedback. I highly recommend her to anyone looking to remodel any room in their home.
