Mac's Lock & Key

MY NAME IS NORMAN MCDONALD. I made the decision to open Mac's Lock & Key back in 1977 when I was working at the neighborhood hardware store. The previous year I had seen an ad in a magazine and decided to take a locksmith course through the mail. It sounded interesting so I took a chance. I started working out of my apartment with 40 key blanks and a small machine to copy keys while I was still working at the hardware store. I was doing small jobs on my lunch break and after work. After a few months my boss came to me and told me it was time to choose. So I gave him my two week notice. After that I moved the business out of my apartment into a house with a shop in front of it. At that time I brought in one more employee until it got to the point that I could move the business into a store front location. The business was continuously growing so I was soon able to move it to a prime location on 500 South in Bountiful where I could hire a couple more employees and buy more equipment. Now 30 years later here we are, at a great location off of 500 West in Bountiful. We now have six full time employees. The demand for our services has grown now covering from Utah county in the South and past Weber county in the North. We are continuing to receive new and updated training and skills to keep up with the more advanced locksmith world. We are delivering fast, professional and the most up to date services available. Providing quality locksmithing and the best keys in town for over 30 years! We are licensed, bonded and insured!
