A designer can only develop a good design when given the needs and wants of the customer and the constraints of the structure. So when a door swing changes, closet requirements change, and the need for more than decorative exterior sconces change, a tv cabinet was built out of an existing piece of furniture, then the design changes with the it. These are not mistakes. The customer approved every selection.
Working on the project from February until July I am surprised to hear that I had been rude. I would have apologized immediately if I had known or sensed any sort of thing. I have great respect for the customers and am proud of the finished project.
The assertion that the images on my site were not mine - not true. I did not copyright the photos, but that does not protect them either.
I did not get this project through Houzz.
I did not steal money from this woman - she did not pay a balance due on a dining table that was complete so another order had to be cancelled and that deposit applied to the balance due for a dining table.
The photos of the fireplace when incomplete and the walls of her home are not plumb.
She approved the mantle via a photograph and no extra molding was installed and the baseboard was being replaced.
The fireplace was inspected by the vendor and approved for installation.
I sent her numerous renderings and created a presentation board.
She was present and approved everything prior to purchase - like chandeliers, molding, sconces, Tibetan goat fur pillows, etc.
The custom door was 1" longer because the floor was not level and the bottom of the door had to be scribed.
She neglected to mention all of the great things I had done. If this was not the case, why would an attorney continue to work with a designer for over two months.
The day this review was first written, I was still living in DC.
Please disregard this her rant. See the other positive reviews.
