R - Design & Staging

I purchased a new home in the area and I wanted the insight from an experienced designer before I made any changes to the home. Renee came to the property and prepared a consultation report. Unfortunately, there was nothing in the report which provided any insight or value. Renee is a nice person and I understand she is very good at staging homes, but I would not recommend for home design.

I have known Renee for several years as she was our neighbor and did design work inside our building. I remember asking the concierge "who does the interior design here?" because the style was so unique, welcoming and classy. I hired Renee shortly after that upon moving into a new home. Renee not only has a bubbly and friendly personality, but she was very attentive to my needs and took the time to understand my husband and my personal styles. That included reviewing my Pinterest page, other social media, coming into our home and showing us some inspirational styles. She really cared and wanted to make our new home perfect for us. Renee has such an eye for design and knocked it out of the park with our home. In fact, people come over and tell me that they feel like my home is right out of a magazine! I was so impressed by Renee. She pushed me outside my comfort zone in a lot of ways and I can't thank her enough! Anyone would be so lucky to have Renee work on their design needs whether it be individuals or company/commercial. She is a one of a kind, professional! Not to mention she is a lot of fun. Renee and I have stayed connected since our project and I will continue to keep in touch for years to come!

Renee has a keen eye for design, and was very helpful to me in sorting through paint chips, walking down aisles of tile samples and guiding me through window treatment selections. I felt like my bathroom remodel project was always on her mind and she continually sent me web links to photos for design inspiration and décor ideas, and would often pick things up at the store for me "just to show me and see what I thought". When I needed quick opinions about things to make on-the-spot decisions with my working crew, she was very responsive so nothing slowed down. I don't like the design process - making decisions that I will have to live with scares me to no end. Renee took that information and really helped me to feel comfortable each step of the way. I felt very reassured throughout, and in the end am very pleased with the final look and feel of the finished room!

I was so fortunate to have found Renee Doerr and R-Design & Staging to help re-decorate my home. I recently inherited a beautiful secretary from my grandmother and wanted to display it in my study. Renee helped me place the secretary in the study and we ended up rearranging the whole room. It turned out beautifully and I was extremely pleased. So much, in fact, that we ended up redecorating three more rooms (great room, living room, and master bedroom) in my house using only my existing furnishings while adding a few new accessories. Renee has a great knack for decorating to her customers specific tastes. Beyond Renee's sense of design, she is a kind and caring person. Renee helped me with staging for clients in the Northwest suburbs of Chicago. She was extremely professional and responsive. The home that Renee helped with was a lovely home, but was very personalized to the tastes of the current homeowners. Knowing that in our market we needed to make some major modifications within a tight budget in order to have the home appeal to a broader market, thereby increasing the dollars the seller would net, Renee was able to adhere to budget and get the job done on schedule. Renee helped me work with treasured items that I had throughout my home and find the best placement for them. She also picked out some great new accessories that updated my room and made it look cozy and "finished".
