Custom Design & Construction's Design-Build philosophy encompasses every aspect of a home remodeling project. We combine architecture, engineering, interior design, project management, and financing into a coherent whole. Because we design what we build and build what we design, Custom Design & Construction delivers unsurpassed value, job after job, time after time.

Bill Simone:
Manhattan Beach resident Bill Simone is the president of Custom Design & Construction. He founded the company in 1986 and quickly built a reputation of integrity and exceeding client expectations.

Bill has proven over the last decades the design/build model in residential remodeling is the best approach. You no longer need to retain an independent architect and bid out the plans. It’s possible to have design, product selections, construction, funding, and project management all under the same roof.

His beliefs have made him an industry icon. Simone helped pioneer the design/build concept, now widely accepted as delivering a superior experience for sophisticated homeowners seeking high-end residential remodels.

Simone’s projects have been featured in Time magazine, the Los Angeles Times, Women’s Day, Smart Money, and many industry publications. Several have won national awards including the prestigious Chrysalis Project of the Year, Kitchen of the Year, Bathroom of the Year, as well as numerous others.

He’s twice been named Chrysalis Remodeler of the Year, and is a three-time winner of California Remodeler of the Year, eight-time Qualified Remodeler Top 500 recipient, and Remodeling magazine Big 50 member.

Simone has served as President of the National Association of Home Builders Los Angeles Remodelers Council, Vice President of the Building Industry Association of Southern California, and is a Certified Graduate Remodeler, Certified Aging in Place Specialist and EPA lead-safe certified.
