Ted Sparling and Gulf & Bay Constructors have done remodeling work on my historic house for about 20 years — bedrooms, bathrooms, kitchen, roofs. He has been competent and capable, dependable, honest, and fair in price. His subcontractors have also been capable and competent. Besides that, Ted is a very nice man. As you can tell, this has been a very good working relationship over 20 years.

Not only is Ted Sparling's vast knowledge and expertise fantastic...he is also a pleasure to work with and extremely honest. He pulls the proper permits, returns calls and is "on it" if their is a problem. This was the 2nd complete gut and rehab project (over 2,500 sq.' ft.' each) I have done with him and would choose his company, Gulf and Bay Constructors again. Both projects included complete renovations of 2 - 2.5 baths, kitchen, laundry, removing several walls, raising ceiling heights, raising doors, replacing headers, replacing windows, leveling floor heights, as well as new moldings through-out, built-ins, new flooring, painting, finish work, etc., etc. These type of projects always uncover the "unexpected"... from termites to mold, to improper original construction - Ted deals with it as it should be dealt with in my estimation. Given a few unexpected delays due to suppliers - I was in both units very, very close to on time. He and his company also worked with me on a smaller 2b/2b condo a few years ago - that too was as pleasurable as remodeling can be.

Highly recommended. Very punctual and professional. Stickler for details and a perfectionist. Reviews work carefully and is on site almost daily during peak construction phase. Joy to work with. Has true passion for his work.
