Yamini is the full package. She's an extraordinary talent, who knows her craft and uses it to best fulfill her clients' dreams. She has tremendous vision, and can turn nothing into something special. She's fully collaborative and happily presents various options and ideas. She's highly creative to the point where I so enjoy just watching her at work in our home, where I can see her creative juices flowing. She's accommodating, considerate, a superb communicator, and the consummate professional. To top it off, she's an absolute joy to work with. My husband and I are so grateful that Yamini was available to help us with our current project, and we look forward to working with her again.

Yamini did an excellent job presenting us with a cohesive design for our Hyde Park living room and entryway. She listened to our feedback and adjusted to our budget and timeline. She presented various options and worked well with recruiting contractors to complete the needed work on the fireplace, wallpaper and electrical. The pieces she selected were of excellent quality. She was very easy to work with and we highly recommend her to anyone looking for a great design experience!

Yamini is a treasure. She has a natural eye for design, and incredible experience with all aspects of home decor. She is thoroughly collaborative, and gives us multiple options for every selection. We have worked with Yamini on multiple homes, from small projects freshening up an existing home to soup-to-nuts design and decoration of a new apartment. Yamini is fantastic. Full stop. Our custom home builder recommended her and she did not disappoint. While I am sure that many of her clients give her full license to decorate their homes (and with good reason), we were looking for a guide of sorts. Yamini was the perfect guide during our process of making all of the (myriad) selections for our custom home. She worked closely with us to understand our aesthetic goals, and acted as a brilliant curator so that we were making selections from a manageable set of outstanding options rather than the entire universe of possibilities. She also brought to bear her relationships with some of the best folks at suppliers (e.g., tile shops, countertop providers, lighting stores, etc.), whose knowledge was immensely helpful in guiding us to choices that were within our budget while meeting our design goals. Yamini was a true partner in our process, and will remain a trusted advisor for years to come; I cannot imaging not having had her by our side during this process!

I used Yamini in 2021 to help with a medium size remodeling project we did in our home. She provided extensive design consultation to me throughout the project from picking raw materials for construction, lighting, to furnishings and placement, to decor. I couldn't have done it without her. I had to make a lot of decisions in a short period of time and Yamini was there every step of the way. We were able to shop together in-person and online and get everything we needed for the project. She was patient with me when I changed my mind or was indecisive, and helped me make informed choices about how to stay on budget. Of course the spaces all turned out beautiful and I feel like I have a new house after all of the hard work. She is also an amazing human and I feel like I gained a friend in the process.

Yamini is an incredibly talented creative genius! She helped me redesign my place from scratch and is very organized in keeping my design needs, mood boards, preferred vendors, and design themes prioritized. Yamini of Yamini Designs has been a true professional in helping us make a "down sizing" move from a large home to a condominium. In our first phone conversation, she quickly understood our needs and helped us blend pieces from our home with new purchases. Her sense of scale and proportion were spot on and gave us the confidence to try new styles and trends. Yamini also welcomed some estate sale finds in to our condo remodel. We hired Yamini to help us with a new construction build. It was a huge project! From the very beginning, Yamini was an amazing design partner to work with when we only had the slightest idea of what we wanted to build all the way through helping with the plans, making selections, and fully furnishing our home. Yamini helped every step of the way. Yamini was always extremely thoughtful and communicative. She learned our preferences and provided lots of options that took into account our lifestyle and how the space would be used. We wanted to build a home that was extremely functional for our young family, but also extremely beautiful. Yamini's expertise helped us do just that. She was always available and provided expertise and guidance that probably saved us an arm and a leg, and was extremely thoughtful of our budget and how we would get the most bang for our buck. We wanted to be thoughtful about spending on things that provided the most value- and Yamini was amazing with her expertise and design eye to help us find things like tile and/or kitchen finishes that were beautiful, functional and within our budget. Yamini has become like a member of our family after such a huge project, and I'm looking for other projects to do just to get to work with her again. She epitomizes professionalism and care, and you can tell she lays it all out for her clients and truly loves her work. I wouldn't hesitate to hire Yamini in any capacity for a project- she's the real deal, an amazing designer, a pragmatic professional, and a truly wonderful human.

Yamini is excellent to work with. My husband and I were moving to a larger rental and are expecting a baby in September. We wanted furniture that was readily available given significant shipment delays during the pandemic. Additionally space planning our apartment was quite challenging and Yamini was extremely thorough and came up with plans literally within a few days. She came with us to furniture stores and has a great eye and is able to quickly tell you what will and what won’t work. We finishing all our space planning, furniture selections and deliveries within 45 days. She has a great attitude and goes above and beyond for her clients.
