Zach Hayes Design

Zach helped us decorate the main floor of our new house. From the beginning he was very easy and fun to work with, and came up with an amazing vision that incorporated our tastes and preferences. Zach gets to know his clients well which allows him to personalize his design. Our home looks tasteful and classy, and we receive compliments from everyone who visits. Zach also managed and coordinated the delivery and setup of our furniture. What could have easily taken years to complete was finished in a couple of months thanks to Zach! Would highly recommend working with him.

Zach Hayes is a consummate professional with great insight and professional experience. During his first visit to what would become our new office, he was very confident we had to knock down 2 walls to open the space. Everyone without exception was opposed to this idea. Zach made his case and was very clear in his purpose and convinced me to trust him. The walls came down and to all our amazement, except Zach, he was right. Zach picked the color palate and finishes, coordinated the remodel and repurposed every significant piece of furniture we had in our old office. Lastly, he convinced us that we had to use a wall in our entry for branding and directed us to getting a five foot sign. The sign is installed and once again he was right. Zach's fee was reasonable and his invoices were clear and prompt. I would not move anywhere without Zach Hayes.

After over 25 years of marriage and raising children, we decided to pursue our “empty nest” in Chicago, starting from a clean slate. Having seen Zach’s work, we were thrilled to have the opportunity to retain him to create a peaceful yet dramatic environment for our small luxury apartment overlooking both Lake Michigan and the northern city skyline. We’ve often had problems in the past finding agreement when it came to our home decorating ideas — but Zach was able to listen to both of our needs and find just the right solutions to make us both happy. Make that ecstatic! Better than all this, we feel like we didn’t just hire a decorator — we found a valuable friendship. We cannot recommend Zach Hayes highly enough.

Besides the fact that he did a fantastic job on my family room and living room (I get tons!! of compliments) he is easy to work with, hard working, patient, efficient and responds quickly to texts messages, emails and phone messages. Zach is an amazing designer with a great eye for color and impeccable taste. He did my condo in Lakeshore East, Chicago including wall coverings, furniture and fabrics, paint and tile,bath and lighting fixtures and a beautiful custom back- painted fireplace with a nickel surround. He was able to easily capture my vision and just elevate to another level by layering different materials, textures and colors throughout the space. This is something I could have never imagined. He was on time and on budget. Although he can do any size project, I appreciate his work so much that I have hired him again to design my next home from top to bottom in Chicago.
