Handmade in the USA, this striking, 22 x 22 inch square, comfy and soft pillow features my original fabric design -- a modern take on the traditional Amish 'Sunshine and Shadow' pattern, digitally printed onto 45%-recycled, polyester 'Eco-Canvas' fabric.
Professionally sewn and finished by me, this gorgeous pillow includes tapered "designer" corners and a hidden, "invisible" zipper closure. Base price is for the designer Pillow Cover. Optionally you can choose to include a luxurious 25% down and 75% feather, made-in-the-USA pillow insert.
I chose the unexpected color palette for this fabric design from an ottoman I hand-painted several years back, that I adore to this day. It includes off-white, mossy-avocado green, purple, lavender, brown, light-linen-tan, and a chartreuse-lime.
I love the way the carefully-matched side seams create secondary geometric patterns, beyond the Sunshine and Shadow. This is the kind of pillow you could happily stare at for hours and daydream of your next home decor conquest!
Care Instructions: Remove pillow insert. Wash separately in cool or warm water using a gentle machine cycle and phosphate-free detergent. Machine dry briefly using a low temperature setting. If required, use an iron with a light touch on a low, synthetic setting only.
My textile designs come from my love of architecture and nature. This collection was inspired by two elements: My photograph and sketch of a striking Art Deco fixture at the historic theatre in the Santa Catalina Island Casino building, and my contemporary-colors take on a traditional Amish quilt design, like those made in Paradise, Pennsylvania.
