Tudor style heavily distressed dark oak sideboard with two drawers, with quatrefoil panelled decoration, patinated brass drop handles and a long running under-tier.

Regency style crotch mahogany veneered sideboard the breakfront with concave doors to either end, and with three drawers to the centre. Patinated brass oval handles, fine marquetry detail to the panelled tapered legs and set on brass feet with square cross section.

When I first saw the Belleville buffet I knew immediately where to put it in my blue and white house. Originally in a fruitwood finish I saw it being much more exciting in our washed acacia. Although a substantial piece it has a lightness and humour that makes it very usable.
