Adopted from an ingenious 19th-century Japanese design, the Step Tansu is not only a beautiful piece of furniture, it also makes a great room divider and double-sided storage unit. It features large drawers accentuated with brass handles and a brass half plate. The surface of the steps can also be used to display plants and or other decorative accents. Both sides are finished identical and completely reversible. Handcrafted of Elmwood by skilled craftsmen in China. Hand forged brass hardware accents the entire unit. Hand applied black satin finish. The large unit is 39"x17.5"x38", and the top and side units are 29"x17.5"x28.5"/each. Unit is for storage and display purposes only, not to be use as stairs.
