~From the Dust is a small bronze sculpture. This maquette has powerful architectural implications and looks best placed properly. Although From the Dust looks great as a center piece, having the back flat against a surface with something on both sides of the piece adds to the drama and structure of the sculpture. Let this piece run directly into the hearts and minds of your guests.
~Darrell Davis is a fellow in the National Sculptors' Guild and is available for commissioning small maquettes to monumental sculpture.
Wildlife sculptor, Darrell Davis, knew at age 15 he wanted to be a sculptor after visiting the South Carolina’s Brookgreen Sculpture Garden. Davis studied art as an undergraduate at the University of Texas at Arlington, and took graduate classes in landscape architecture also at the University of Texas. Composition is what drives the work of Darrell Davis.
In 2013 Darrell was awarded the Gold Medal and Maurice B Hexter prize at the National Sculpture Society 80th Annual Exhibition held at the Tampa Museum of Art and Brookgreen Gardens SC. Darrell is a signature member of the National Sculpture Society, American Society of Marine Artists, Society of Animal Artists, and California Art Club.
Darrell’s work has been exhibited in museums across the country. Public commissions include the Lincoln Park Zoo in Chicago; City of Keller, TX; City of Cerritos. CA; City of Lafayette, IN; and a monument commemorating Charles Fraser for the City of Hilton Head, SC.
