Legnoart Conico Stainless Steel Blade Triple Function Cheese Grater
Legnoart Conico Stainless Steel Blade Triple Function Cheese Graterby Legnoart
This is a talk of meetings and passions, travels and discoveries. This voyage has involved artisans, designers, lumberjacks, chefs and winemakers who have shared with us their dreams of creating objects for cooking and wine tasting based on Italian traditions and wine and food culture. These objectives are part of the regional traditions of our country. We have been able to create these collections today by bringing together two generations of participants in the little fishing village where we are based, on the shores of Lake Orta, since 1946. We live in a magical place, at the foot of the Alps and just one hundred and sixty kilometres from the sea, as the crow flies. It is a microcosm of Italy; mountains and sea. Thousands of diverse climates have created the deal context where over the centuries have been developed hundreds of methods of understanding culinary culture and the grape harvest. All of our products are based on this tradition and geography. There is a special alchemy involved in the aging process for a great cheese or a top wine. It can take months, often years, and every time that one opens a bottle of wine or cuts a slice of cheese, we are participating in that same magic. We offer ritual objects for hosting a tasting and allowing the spirit to the sensorial perception of a culture that dates back through the centuries. Grater with triple function blade, stainless steel 18/10. Solid ash wood, hand finished. Removable handle, wood utility bowl. Handcrafted in Italy by Legnoart with bio finishing.Read More
The sharp, slotted surfaces of graters is often taken for granted. No one seems to think twice about reaching for one weekly, if not daily, to prep food for cooking or snacking. Take a second to appreciate this hard working kitchen tool — trying to shred cheese without one would be a nightmare!. Sure, they’re helpful for the basics, but you can also whip up some pretty nifty culinary creations with more advanced versions, like a microplane grater. Learn which grater is best for each task with the following information:

What is the difference between a grater and a zester?

They are technically the same tool, but their slot size (the little holes) vary. A lemon zester, for example, will have tiny slots to create small pieces of zest that release lots of citrus flavor. Larger slots are typical on a cheese grater, which produces larger shreds perfect for any dish that calls for melted cheese. A box grater has various slots on all four sides to give you a range of shredding sizes from very fine to coarse. A microplane grater or zester has razor-sharp teeth in both directions, which makes them very quick and efficient at grating even the tougher foods, like parmesan.
