As a landscape artist, I continue to train my eyes and brain to see the subtle colors that present themselves in what, at first, seem to be one color. I love to portray the varying blues and greens of shallow crystal clear turquoise water. Before beginning the actual painting, I toned the blank canvas a golden-orange that I allow to occasionally peek through and provide a warm feeling to the scene.
