Kilz 2® Latex 20000 White Pigmented Primer Sealer/Stain Killer, 5 Gallon
Kilz 2® Latex 20000 White Pigmented Primer Sealer/Stain Killer, 5 Gallonby Masterchem Industries
$162
KILZ 2® LATEX is a fast drying, water-base, multi-purpose primer-sealer-stainblocker that can be topcoated with latex or oil-base paint. It has a very mild odor, which makes it an excellent choice for interior and exterior applications. Use on properly prepared interior and exterior surfaces, such as brick, painted metal, properly prepared glossy surfaces†, drywall, paneling, stucco, masonry, plaster and wood. *5 gallon *Fast dry water based white pigmented primer sealer/stain killer *Very low odor, may be used on interior or exterior surfaces *Holds back most stains *Can be re-coated quickly & allows for easy clean up with warm soapy water Surface Preparation: *The surface must be clean, free of dust, grease, wax, peeling paint and wallpaper paste. If washing is necessary use a non-soapy detergent or a TSP substitute. Rinse well and allow to dry. *For maximum adhesion, scrape off loose paint and scuff sand the surface thoroughly before priming. On glossy surfaces: scuff sand the surface thoroughly before priming. *Unpainted, exterior wood exposed to sun and/or moisture longer than 2-4 weeks must be cleaned and sanded before priming. *Wash the area with a mildew remover, rinse with water and allow to dry before priming. *KILZ 2 may be used on clean, dry, aged masonry surfaces. New masonry must be allowed to cure (dry) at least 30 days before applying KILZ 2. *It is critical to clean smoke damaged surfaces thoroughly before priming. Primary Recommendation: KILZ ORIGINAL or KILZ ODORLESS. Application: *Eye protection is recommended. *A small amount of water may be added for spray applications, but do not thin for stainblocking applications. *Stir thoroughly before and occasionally during use. *Apply using a brush, roller or sprayer. *Only apply if surface, air and product temperatures are between 50°-90°F. *Prime the entire surface to ensure a uniform appearance of the topcoat. *After priming, test for stain bleed-through by applying the topcoat to a small section. If the stain bleeds through the topcoat, apply a second coat of primer and test again before topcoating the entire area. If bleeding continues, a longer dry time is needed before topcoating. *Tinting is not recommended for stainblocking applications. KILZ 2 may be tinted with up to 2 ounces of universal colorant per gallon for non-stainblocking projects. Tinting to a lighter shade than the topcoat is recommended. *Coverage is up to 300 square feet per gallon on porous surfaces; up to 400 square feet per gallon on smooth, nonporous surfaces. Dry Time at 77°F (25°C), 50% RH: *Dries to the touch in 30 minutes. *Can be recoated or topcoated in one hour with latex or oil-based paint. *Application at lower temperatures, in high humidity or in poorly ventilated areas will affect dry time. Clean up & Disposal: *Clean equipment and paint spatters with warm, soapy water. *Dispose of contaminated absorbent, container and unused product in accordance with all current federal, state and local regulations.Read More

Ames® Research MSS1 Maximum-Stretch™ Elastomeric Roof Coating, 1 Gallon, White
Ames® Research MSS1 Maximum-Stretch™ Elastomeric Roof Coating, 1 Gallon, Whiteby Ames Research Laboratories Inc
$84
A thick, high quality rubber and acrylic elastomeric coating designed specifically for waterproofing, repairing and maintaining many different types of roofs. Temperature fluctuations and severe weather will cause tremendous expansion and contraction of roofs which loosens up the building over time causing roofs to fail and leak. Ames’® Maximum-Stretch™ has remarkable adhesion and is easy to apply. Ready to use - no mixing required. It dries rapidly to form a cool white, watertight roof membrane with up to 750% elasticity that expands and contracts with the roof surface. Ames’® Maximum-Stretch™ stays cool and resists cracking and peeling. It reflects up to 98% of the sun’s rays to reduce roof temperature and energy costs. Ames’® Maximum-Stretch™ remains flexible at freezing temperatures. It has been developed for a wide range of climates from hot to cold, and formulated to resist fungus, mold and mildew. *Size: 1 Gallon *Color: White *VOC free *25% rubber, 75% acrylic *Adhesion and is easy to apply *High quality rubber and acrylic elastomeric coating designed specifically for waterproofing, repairing and maintaining many different types of roofs *Ready to use - no mixing required *Maximum-Stretch™ stays cool and resists cracking and peeling *Reflects up to 98% of the sun’s rays to reduce roof temperature and energy costs *It has been developed for a wide range of climates from hot to cold, and formulated to resist fungus, mold and mildew Where to Use: *Metal Roofs: including: Residential & Commercial, Tin, Aluminum, Rusty Metal, Corrugated Metal, Butler Buildings, Hangers and Factories. Preparation: *Surface has to be in savable condition, clean and dry with proper drainage. Pressure wash when possible using pure water. Be sure the surface is clean and completely dry before the application of the coating. Read all label instructions before beginning. Always run a test patch first in an inconspicuous area, to ensure that proper adhesion and drying occurs and the product works to your satisfaction. As an option, use Ames’® Peel & Stick™ adhesive seam tape and tape all joints, seams and around vents. Do not use any soaps or detergents to clean the surface. General Application: *Ready to use - no mixing required. Pour the thick liquid coating out and spread 1-2 gallons of product liberally with a push roller or broom. Work the product until it is smooth and looks consistent in thickness. Move on after a few minutes so the product does not skin over or form a film which can create an unintended texture in the coating’s finished appearance. In most instances, the minimum application is two coats at a rate of one gallon per 100 sq. ft. per coat. Estimated Coverage: *Standard product coverage on a smooth surface is 100 sq. ft. per gallon per coat. Rough or uneven surfaces may require additional product. More than one coat is recommended. More coats equal longer life. Clean-up, Storage, and Disposal: *Clean tools and small spills with water. Store unused product in its original container, tightly sealed and protect from freezing. Dispose of this product in accordance with local, state, or federal requirements.Read More
