Brent Carrier, a native of Michigan is an established real estate developer with over 20 years of experience in real estate investments and development. He studied at Central Michigan University, class of 1985, from where he earned his Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration-Finance. Mr. Carrier continued his education and enrolled at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, class of 1998, and received his M.S. in Real Estate Development. In 1989 Brent Carrier entered the real estate development business as the Vice President of Asset Managemen with the Eliot Savings Bank. While working at this real estate investment trust headquartered in New York, part of his responsibilities included completing aborted residential condominium conversions and master planned communities. He structured and negotiated investments and transactions for real estate investment trusts, and in addition to that, he managed portfolios of real estate investments. Mr.Carrier oversaw the resolution of five major golf course developments and served as a manager for RTC, until 1992. That same year he went on to work for the Fleet Financial Group as their Vice President, until 1996. From 1997- 1999 he worked as Principal at Chessed, LLC, where he developed the luxury residential conversion project at 66 Leonard Street. Around that time Carrier was also in charge of overseeing the build-to-suit development of the new acquisitions and developments, worth over $2 billion. For around 5 years, in the period between 1999 and 2004, he was Executive Vice President of W. P. Carey & Co. LLC. In 2002 he made a political donation for the Representative from West Virginia's 1st Congressional District. In the period between 2000- 2003, Brent Carrier served as Director of Asset Management for W.P. Carey, and Executive Vice President of their affiliate, Emerald Development. From August 2006 until March 2011 he was Vice President at O'Connor Capital Partners. This Acquisitions & Development company was mainly focused on real estate investing through private equity funds. As a real estate developer working in New York City and the surrounding area, Mr. Carrier has created much of this value through his entitlement and development expertise in real estate economics, real estate development, land entitlement & zoning, commercial real estate due diligence and more.
