Adam Hochfelder is the current Managing Director of Real Estate Acquisitions & Development at Merchants Hospitality and former co-owner of the NYC real estate investment firm Max Capital. Led by him, the company gained ownership over some of the most expensive buildings in New York City, including the Helmsley Building and the Conde Nast Building. Hochfelder started his professional career while he was still studying at the University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton School, initially by undertaking an internship position at Newmark and Co, a major real-estate services company. A year later, while serving as the chief investment officer of Atlantic Capital, a real-estate investment firm, Mr. Hochfelder decided to start his own business venture, and thus Max Capital was born. The company gained serious notice in estate world, and soon after Adam Hochfelder was not only competing but also outplaying some of NYC’s most powerful landlords. Hochfelder is also known for his philanthropic endeavors, such as funding the development of low-income housing in New York and Philadelphia, founding and sponsoring the NYC Parenting Center, and actively participating as a coach in youth sports in Manhattan.
