“ASSESSMENT OF MARJAN SVETKO Scope of Project: Replace existing kitchen cabinets and countertop. No change in the configuration of the layout of the kitchen or location of appliances. No significant changes to electrical or plumbing. Reason for Selection of Marjan: Marjan was one of two contractors that we interviewed and received proposals from. Both proposals were competitive and in a narrow range. Marjan distinguished himself with his design expertise, attention to detail and his flexibility. One of the major considerations in choosing Marjan was his timeframe from demolition to being back in our kitchen and having a ‘working kitchen’ which we defined as having our refrigerator back in the kitchen, a working sink and a working dishwasher. Marjan estimated that we would be out of our kitchen for less than a week. The other contractor told us that we would not have any access to our kitchen for one month. Marjan’s estimate of being out of our kitchen for less than a week held true. Working with Marjan: •Communication: Marjan was very good at communicating with us about the timeline and updates and changes. We signed our contract in mid Feb 2021. We were supposed to take delivery of the cabinets in early/mid-April, but ran into issues with the cabinet manufacturer which extended the delivery date to mid-May due to labor issues related to Covid-19. Marjan kept us informed of the delays and actually had us on calls directly with the cabinet manufacturer to understand the latest timing. Marjan always kept us informed about updates and status changes which is very important. •Attention to Detail: Marjan’s attention to detail was very helpful throughout the process. His experience in designing and remodeling many kitchens was very helpful in making suggestions to us about small changes that had a big impact. He sees things that most of us don’t see. •Trustworthiness: Marjan is a trusted partner. It can be awkward working with someone new on a project that has a very large cost, but Marjan performed and kept his word on all major elements of the project. •Interpersonal: Marjan was a pleasure to work with throughout the project. Kitchen remodels are very stressful on the family, especially when your kitchen is offline for a period of time. Marjan’s demeanor was always calm, professional and friendly. He spent a significant amount of time at our house and got to know our family. Recommendation: We would strongly recommend Marjan for all kitchen renovations. His attention to detail, project execution and professionalism were exceptional.”
